Bicycle travel case
An improved bicycle travel case for protecting a partially disassembled bicycle during storage and travel. A skeletal tubular inner framework forms a rigid perimeter defining a shape of the case and is foldable for storage. The framework has an upper and lower section, joined with a hinged connection and a self-latching connection. Mesh panels are installed within planar surfaces defined by the framework, creating impact resistant surfaces encircling the case. A removable fabric cover encloses the inner framework and mesh panel assemblage. Upon removal of the fabric cover for inspection during airline travel, the bicycle is on prominent visual display beneath its protective framework and mesh case, nullifying the need to open the case and physically handle it. The bicycle is releasably locked in the case by two fork mounts that isolate the bicycle from damaging forces. A releasably lockable mount also secures bicycle wheels inside the case.
STORAGE DEVICES
This invention relates to storage devices, particularly to storage devices for storing and protecting vehicles, and more particularly to storage devices for storing and protecting bicycles and/or motorcycles. In one aspect of the present invention, a storage device may include an enclosure which may be sealed and/or closed off to the outside environment, and may further include a compact, at least partially nesting structure. In an exemplary embodiment, the nesting structure may include a plurality of segments that may form the enclosure, where some of the segments may nest into another to open the enclosure while maintaining the compact form-factor of the structure.
Bicycle packaging structure
A bicycle packaging structure for a bicycle including a bicycle frame is provided. The bicycle packaging structure includes an exhibition box and at least one fixing member. The exhibition box includes a lower plate, a side plate surrounding the lower plate, an accommodating space formed by the lower plate and the side plate, and an exhibition opening at one side of the side plate away from the lower plate. The bicycle frame is accommodated in the accommodating space and mounted on the lower plate by the at least one fixing member. Thus, the bicycle frame may be directly exhibited through the exhibition opening and be sold to eliminate conventional complications of box opening and assembly for exhibition and post-exhibition re-boxing. The bicycle frame is placed in the exhibition box for carrying outdoors to achieve objects of recycling and reducing costs and burden on the environment.
Bicycle Transport Container and Inside-Leg Measurement System
A bicycle transport container, particularly a bicycle transport box, includes an outer container. Within the outer container, a base element, is arranged. The base element serves for accommodating an at least partially pre-mounted bicycle. The base element includes a bottom element which is supported on a bottom portion of the outer box. The outer box includes an openable side portion so that the base element together with the bicycle can be laterally pulled out from the outer container.
Bicycle transport container as well as rolling element for a bicycle transport container
Bicycle transport containers include a typically parallelepiped-shaped outer container. Retaining and/or receiving elements are provided inside the outer container for receiving bicycle elements such as bicycle frames, wheels and the like. In order to facilitate the transport of a bicycle transport container, the invention provides rolling elements on a bottom element of the outer container.
PACKAGING SYSTEM FOR A BICYCLE
A packaging system for a bicycle includes a base tray, a first vertical tower coupled to the base tray, a second vertical tower coupled to the base tray, and an axle protector configured to be coupled to a wheel of the bicycle. The axle protector includes a body portion configured to cover and shield an axle of the wheel along a side of the wheel, and a tab extending from the body portion. The tab is configured to engage a spoke of the wheel to couple the axle protector to the wheel.
Packaging system for a bicycle
A packaging system for a bicycle, the packaging system including a base tray having a first tab, a second tab located opposite the first tab, a first side extending between the first tab and the second tab, and a second side extending between the first tab and the second tab and located opposite the first side. The packaging system further includes a first vertical tower having a first aperture configured to receive the first tab of the base tray to interlock the first vertical tower to the base tray at the first end, a second vertical tower having a second aperture configured to receive the second tab of the base tray to interlock the second vertical tower to the base tray at the second end, and an outer carton configured to surround and interlock with the base tray, the first vertical tower, and the second vertical tower.
AXLE GUARD FOR PACKAGING A BICYCLE
A method of packaging a bicycle having at least one wheel axle with exposed ends in a shipping carton. The method includes attaching a guard over at least one of the exposed ends of the axle by sliding the axle through a slotted opening in the guard and using the guard to tighten a fastener to positively secure the guard on the axle. A distal surface of the guard is aligned with a side of the carton and the bicycle is placed into the carton with the distal guard surface adjacent to a side of the carton.
Stand for a Bicycle or for a Bicycle Frame
A bicycle and bicycle frame stand includes a first leg element and a second leg element which forms an angle of less than or equal to 90 with the first leg element. The second leg element has a bicycle receiving element for a bicycle component of an assembled bicycle, and the second leg element has a frame receiving element for a bicycle frame component.
A PROTECTOR
A universal protector for a bicycle element made up of a shell for protecting the element and a fastener for fastening the shell to the element in which the shell includes a size adapting and adjusting structure to accommodate bicycle elements of different sizes thereby protecting the bicycle and vehicles during transport.
