Trash can with customizable features

Described is a system for controlling the operation of a trash can lid that includes a shell for receiving trash, a lid assembly that covers a portion of the shell, and an actuator assembly that independently controls the rate in which the lid assembly moves with respect to the shell. Also provided is a system for improving the operation of a trash can that includes a lid assembly for covering a portion of a shell, an actuator assembly, a base assembly, and a hydraulic component. The hydraulic component controls the rate in which a portion of the lid assembly moves with respect to the shell. The system further includes an adjustable volume of space that is formed between the base assembly and the removable liner when the removable liner is coupled to the base assembly. The adjustable volume of space can be used to store deodorizers, insecticides, or the like.

The current invention relates to a bin used in combination with a liner for various purposes, including but not limited to the disposal of trash and the collection of recycled material. The bin having an exterior surface, an interior surface, a body, a closed bottom end, an open top end, and an interior chamber. The bin including at least a slideable top portion allowing for the top opening of the bin to be adjusted in periphery thereby enabling liners of various sizes to be secured in the interior chamber of the bin. In addition, a bin comprising of a lid with an adjustable member securable within the bin lid enabling liners of various sizes to be secured in the interior chamber of the bin.

Waste Receptacle

A waste receptacle includes a housing defining a rim, the rim defining a rim opening configured to receive a liner. The waste receptacle may include a plurality of retention tabs extending from the rim. At least one retention tab of the plurality of retention tabs extends outward relative to the rim opening. The waste receptacle may include a lid, a lift-rod, a pedal operatively coupled to the lift-rod, and a locking tab configured to lock or unlock the lift-rod. The waste receptacle may include a foldable pedal being foldable about a fold axis between a pedal-extended configuration and a pedal-folded configuration. The waste receptacle may include a plurality of dampening feet.

A multi-stage lid ultraviolet sterilizing waste container is disclosed which contains a housing, base, lid assembly, support structure for receiving flexible bag assemblies and at least one UV light source for sterilizing the inside of the container. The waste container further includes sensors and motors to automate certain steps.

The receptacle also includes a cover configured to prevent access to the chamber via the opening in a closed position, and to allow access to the chamber via the opening in an open position; and a heat pump including an interior heat exchanger exposed to the chamber, the heat pump configured to cool the chamber by absorbing heat from air within the chamber via the interior heat exchanger, and transferring the heat outside the insulated container.
