Scissors-type lifter for intermediate refuse collection container
A cart lifter assembly is provided that is adapted to be mounted to an intermediate refuse collection container that includes a scissors-type extension assembly for moving the lifter between a first/retracted and a second/extended position. The scissors extension assembly further comprises an elongated channel member configured to be secured to the wall of the intermediate container; a mounting block slidably received in the elongated channel member; first second, third and fourth scissor arms; and a bracket configured to be fixedly mounted to the wall of the intermediate container in spaced relationship to the elongated channel member. A rotary actuator is secured to the bracket and has a rotatable shaft extending from opposite ends thereof, for moving the lifter relative to the intermediate container between the first/retracted position and the second/extended position, with one end of the second scissor arm being removably secured to the rotatable shaft.
ADJUSTABLE TIPPING DEVICE FOR A REFUSE VEHICLE
A refuse container tipping device includes a first mounting plate, a second mounting plate, a hinge plate, and a plurality of fasteners. The first mounting plate defines a plurality of first slots. The plurality of first slots each extend in a first direction along substantially parallel axes. The second mounting plate is releasably coupled to the first mounting plate and defines a plurality of second slots. The plurality of second slots each extend in a second direction along substantially parallel axes. The first direction is perpendicular to the second direction. The hinge plate is coupled to the second mounting plate. The hinge plate supports a hinge and a grapple arm that is rotatably coupled to the hinge. The plurality of fasteners couple the second mounting plate to the first mounting plate by extending through the plurality of first slots and the plurality of second slots.
Extendable lift arm assembly for a front end loading refuse vehicle
A vehicle includes a chassis, a body coupled to the chassis, and a lift assembly coupled to at least one of the chassis or the body. The lift assembly includes a first lift arm and a second lift arm. The first lift arm includes a first arm portion, a second arm portion interfacing with the first arm portion, a first actuator positioned to facilitate repositioning the second arm portion relative to the first arm portion, and a second actuator positioned to pivot the first arm portion. The second lift arm includes a third arm portion, a fourth arm portion interfacing with the third arm portion, a third actuator positioned to facilitate repositioning the fourth arm portion relative to the third arm portion, and a fourth actuator positioned to pivot the second arm portion.
Refuse collection vehicle with telescoping arm
A refuse collection vehicle has a container collection arm with a telescoping boom coupled with a refuse stowage unit of the vehicle. A grasping mechanism is coupled with an end of the boom. A rotary actuator couples the grasping mechanism with the boom to enable a waste container to be moved between a pick up position and a dump position.
EXTENDABLE LIFT ARM ASSEMBLY FOR A FRONT END LOADING REFUSE VEHICLE
A lift assembly includes a lift arm having a first arm portion, a second arm portion, a first actuator, and a second actuator. The first arm portion has a first end coupled to a chassis and/or a body of a vehicle. The second arm portion interfaces with the first arm portion and terminates with a second end. The first actuator facilitates repositioning the second arm portion relative to the first arm portion. The second actuator facilitate pivoting the first arm portion about the first end. The first actuator is configured to reposition the second arm portion relative to the first arm portion when the second actuator pivots the lift arm between a stowed position and a working position such that a relative distance between the first end and the second end changes as the second actuator pivots the lift arm between the stowed position and the working position.
Electric tailgate for electric refuse vehicle
Another implementation of the present disclosure is a refuse vehicle. The refuse vehicle includes a chassis, a body coupled with the chassis, a tailgate, an electric lock, and a fully electric tailgate actuator assembly. The body assembly defines a refuse compartment. The tailgate is coupled with a rear of the body and is transitionable between a first position to limit access to the refuse compartment and a second position to allow access to the refuse compartment. The electric lock is operable between an engaged state and a disengaged state to limit movement of the tailgate out of the first position when the electric lock is in the engaged state. The fully electric tailgate actuator assembly is configured to transition the tailgate between the first position and the second position.
REAR LOADING REFUSE VEHICLE
A refuse vehicle body includes a hopper configured to receive refuse and a storage container configured to store compacted refuse. A tailgate is coupled to a rearward facing side of the refuse vehicle body and is movable between closed and opened positions. The refuse vehicle body includes a rear loading assembly configured to (i) engage a refuse container at a rear side of the refuse vehicle body, (ii) lift the refuse container over a top end of the tailgate, and (iii) rotate the refuse container above the hopper such that the refuse container is unloaded into the hopper. The refuse vehicle body further includes a refuse packing assembly configured to transfer refuse from the hopper and compact said refuse in the storage container.
Deformable gripper arm
A refuse collection vehicle includes a refuse grabber assembly, a lift arm coupled to the refuse grabber assembly, and a hopper configured to receive refuse from the refuse container. The lift arm is operable to position the refuse grabber assembly. The refuse grabber assembly includes a first grabber arm and a second grabber arm that are configured to cooperate to engage the refuse container. The first grabber arm includes a first gripper and a first support arm coupled to the first gripper. The first gripper includes a first deformable structure configured to contact a first surface of a refuse container. The second grabber arm includes a second gripper and a second support arm coupled to the second gripper.
