20170121108 · 2017-05-04 · ·

A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, a body, a primary ejector, and an auxiliary ejector. The chassis includes a frame and a cab disposed at one end of the frame. The body includes a hopper portion and a storage portion. The width of the storage portion is greater than the width of the hopper portion. The auxiliary ejector has a width equal to the difference between the width of the storage portion and the width of the hopper portion. The primary ejector is selectively repositionable within the hopper portion and the storage portion of the body to at least one of compact refuse therein or eject refuse therefrom. The auxiliary ejector is selectively repositionable within the storage portion of the body to at least one of compact refuse therein and eject refuse therefrom in tandem with the primary ejector.

A multi-purpose dumping device mounted on one vehicle assists with the emptying of both a heavy commercial refuse container and a lighter residential refuse container and easily operable by the current vehicle structure without substantial modification to the tipping mechanism.

REFUSE VEHICLE WITH ADVANCED DRIVER-ASSISTANCE SYSTEM

A refuse vehicle includes a chassis coupled to a wheel, a body assembly coupled to the chassis and defining a refuse compartment, a lift assembly, a user interface including a display, and a vehicle control system having a sensor and a controller in communication with the lift assembly, the user interface, and the sensor. The controller including a processor and at least one memory and is configured to receive sensor data from the sensor, determine, based on the sensor data, that the lift assembly is in a collection mode, and update the user interface to display a collection view on the display.

Rubbish collection vehicle with an improved container lifter

A container lifter and a low-encumbrance rubbish collection bin that can be used for a rear loading rubbish collection vehicle.

PACKER WEAR BAR

A refuse collection vehicle with a wheeled vehicle chassis and a refuse-collecting body coupled to the wheeled vehicle chassis. The refuse-collecting body includes a refuse storage, a track, and a refuse packer. The refuse storage has a width direction and a length direction. The track extends along the length direction of the refuse storage. The refuse packer has a ram, a fixed bracket, and a wear bar. The ram defines a refuse-contacting surface in the width direction of the refuse storage. The fixed bracket is secured to a lateral surface of the ram in the length direction of the refuse storage. The wear bar engages the track and mechanically couples to the fixed bracket by a releasable fastener. The wear bar is supported on the fixed bracket by at least three spaced apart connection components in the length direction.

REFUSE LIFT ARM ASSEMBLY

The refuse lift arm system includes a grabber device configured to engage the refuse container and a container lift. The container lift includes a carriage, a rail assembly, and a tipping mechanism. The carriage supports pivotal movement of the grabber device. The rail assembly supports translational movement of the carriage. The tipping mechanism is configured to pivot the grabber device relative to the carriage in response to relative movement between the carriage and the rail assembly. The refuse lift arm system further includes a horizontal positioning system configured to move the rail assembly laterally relative to the refuse collection vehicle.

REFUSE LOADING SYSTEM WITH HORIZONTAL POSITIONING

A horizontal positioning system for a refuse loading system includes a base section, a distal section, one or more timing belt systems, one or more belt attachment devices, and one or more horizontal drive units. The base section is configured to couple to a frame of a refuse collection vehicle. The distal section is configured to couple between the base section and the refuse loading system and configured to translate with respect to the base section. At least a first one of the timing belt systems includes a pair of timing pulleys spaced horizontally from one another and each is rotatably coupled to the base section, and a timing belt is coupled around the pair of timing pulleys. At least one of the one or more belt attachment devices is configured to couple the base frame to the timing belt of at least one of the timing belt systems at a belt attachment location.

Intermediate container for integration with a refuse vehicle

An intermediate container for a refuse vehicle where the container is positioned in front of the refuse vehicle is provided. A plurality of legs extends from the container toward the refuse vehicle. An attachment mechanism is on each leg to secure the legs to a front loading arm assembly of the refuse vehicle.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OPERATING AN ELECTRIC LIFT SYSTEM FOR AN ELECTRIC REFUSE VEHICLE

A method for operating a lift apparatus of a refuse vehicle includes receiving a user input from an operator of the refuse vehicle indicating a desired operating speed of the lift apparatus, operating at least one of an electric motor or an electric actuator to apply a first torque on the lift apparatus, acquiring, from one or more sensors, sensor data corresponding to movement of the lift apparatus, determining, based on the first torque and the sensor data, a weight of a refuse container engaged by the lift apparatus, determining, based on the weight of the refuse container and the desired operating speed, a second torque for the at least one of the electric motor of the electric actuator, the second torque higher than the first torque, and operating the at least one of the electric motor or the electric actuator to apply the second torque on the lift apparatus.

COWL WITH INSET LIGHTS FOR REFUSE VEHICLE
