Asset loading system

An identifier associated with one or more assets is obtained in response to a reader component reading a tag associated with one or more assets as the one or more assets traverse a conveyor apparatus. At least partially in response to the obtaining of the identifier, a storage unit of a plurality of storage units is caused to automatically rotate to a loading location to receive the one or more assets.

Systems and methods for automatically reconfiguring a building structure

Techniques for automatically modulating a physical configuration of a reconfigurable building structure. A reconfigurable building structure may be constructed of physical elements that are movable with respect to one another to facilitate actuating the reconfigurable building structure between a plurality of different physical configurations. The physical configuration of a reconfigurable building structure may be adjusted to accommodate for physical dimensions of an item that is going to be moved into the reconfigurable building structure. For example, a spacing between two shelves may be expanded in response to an order being placed for a large item. In this way, when the item is delivered to a physical address associated with the reconfigurable building structure, various physical characteristics of the reconfigurable building structure may have already been modulated to accept the item.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEDICATION DISPENSER
20230097910 · 2023-03-30 ·

Disclosed are systems and methods for a pill dispenser system. The dispenser system includes a dispenser software application that manages the administration of pills to a patient. The pills can be stored in multiple compartments of a hopper. The hopper includes openings in the bottom of each compartment. A disc below the hopper has openings that correspond to the hopper openings, but are offset, keeping the pills in each compartment. The hopper and the disc move together to index a compartment above a dispensing cup. The hopper moves in the opposite direction, without the disc, creating a dispensing aperture, where a pill is dropped onto an elevator. The elevator lowers the pill and drops it into a dispensing cup.

COORDINATED CONVEYERS IN AN AUTOMATED SYSTEM
20230035815 · 2023-02-02 ·

Coordinated conveyors in an automated system. In an embodiment, the system comprises transport conveyor(s) and storage conveyors, wherein each storage conveyor comprises a plurality of segments configured to hold at least one item, and a portion that is aligned with a portion of a transport conveyor, such that items are moveable from the storage conveyor to the transport conveyor. Software module(s), executed by a processor, receive an instruction to collect item(s) at a single destination location, and, for each of the item(s), identify a segment on a storage conveyor on which the item is held, control that storage conveyor to align the segment with the transport conveyor, move the item from the segment onto the transport conveyor, control the transport conveyor to align the item with the destination location, and move the item from the transport conveyor to the destination location.

INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, AND METHOD

An information processing system includes at least one memory storing program code and at least one processor. The program code is configured to, when it is detected that a user has accessed the information processing system, cause the at least one processor to, when one or more of a plurality of storage boxes are vacant, extract a vicinity route having an end point located at a delivery destination of the user or within a vicinity of the delivery destination from among delivery routes of transportable objects stored in one or more of the plurality of storage boxes and cause the at least one processor to identify a pickup point at which a delivery vehicle is able to pick up a transportable object before the delivery vehicle reaches the end point of the extracted vicinity route.

ROBOTIC SYSTEM FOR IDENTIFYING ITEMS

A method and system for obtaining an identifier from an item is disclosed. The method includes autonomously operate a robotic structure to move an item along a predetermined path from a source location to a destination location, and autonomously operating the robotic structure to place the item at the destination location based at least in part on the plan. The item comprises one or more identifiers, and in response to a determination that at least one of the one or more identifiers was not obtained by one or more sensors, an active measure is performed to cause the one or more sensors to obtain the at least one identifier that was not obtained. The predetermined path corresponds to a path along which the item is moved from the source location to the destination location. The predetermined path is planned so that the item is moved within a threshold range of the one or more sensors while the item is moved along the predetermined path.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONSOLIDATING ITEMS FOR FULFILMENT OF ORDER IN WAREHOUSE

A system and method for managing items for fulfilment of an order in a warehouse are provided. The method comprises retrieving, at one instance, at least one item of the one or more items associated with an order being processed; scanning the items to generate a scan information therefor; assigning one of storage bins of a plurality of storage bins to the order being processed based on the acquired scan information; one of one or more sorting robots, provided on one or more platform levels to collect the said at least one item and transfer the said at least one item to the assigned storage bin to the order being processed; and transferring the said assigned storage bin to a packaging station in the warehouse, when each of the one or more items associated with the order being processed are transferred to the said assigned storage bin.

ARTICLE SEARCH DEVICE AND ARTICLE SEARCH METHOD

The control unit includes a retrieval target article identification unit configured to identify a retrieval target article from among the articles stored in the storage unit on the basis of retrieval information indicating a retrieval completion state, a reverse sequential operation calculation unit configured to calculate a reverse sequential operation when it is assumed that the retrieval target article is moved to the storage position in the storage unit in a reverse sequence from the retrieval completion state, and a retrieval operation calculation unit configured to calculate a retrieval operation in which the retrieval target article is moved from the storage position in the storage unit and is in the retrieval completion state by reproducing the reverse sequential operation in reverse.

METHOD FOR DISTRIBUTION OF STORAGE CONTAINERS IN AN AUTOMATED STORAGE AND RETRIEVAL SYSTEM
20220340361 · 2022-10-27 · ·

A method for storing containers in an automated storage and retrieval system includes a framework structure including upright members, horizontal members and storage columns provided between the members. Storage containers are stackable in stacks within the storage columns. The method includes: defining a first storage area, wherein the first storage area includes specific storage columns within the framework structure; setting a first maximum weight threshold for the first storage area; determining a total weight for all storage containers stored in the first storage area; determining a weight for a further storage container which is to be stored within the framework structure; and determining a storage position for the further storage container to be within the first storage area if the sum of the total weight and the weight of the further storage container is below the first maximum weight threshold, or determining the storage position for the further storage container to be outside of the first storage area if the sum of the total weight and the weight of the further storage container is above the first maximum weight threshold.
