AIR ASSISTED HOPPER SYSTEM FOR PELLET-SHAPED ARTICLES
20220169451 · 2022-06-02 ·

An apparatus that conveys pellet-shaped articles may include a hopper that receives a quantity of the pellet-shaped articles. The hopper may include one or more openings to direct a flow of air into the hopper to dislodge jamming or bridging of pellet-shaped articles within the hopper.

Automated gemstone feeding

Examples of automated gemstone feeding are described. According to an example, a gemstone feeding machine includes a conveyor belt assembly to feed holders carrying gemstones. The conveyor belt assembly can include a plurality of conveyor belts in two sets positioned parallel to each other and the two sets can move in opposite directions. Each belt in one set can be positioned alternately with respect to each belt in the other set. The assembly can include a fixed guiding plate at a first end of the conveyor belts and a detachable guiding plate adjacent to the loading assembly at a second end of the conveyor belts. The fixed guiding plate and the detachable guiding plate each comprises a plurality of transition profiles in alignment with immediately adjacent conveyor belts.

Truck detection sensor for material transfer vehicles

Disclosed is an example material transfer vehicle comprising a feeder having a hydraulic motor, a chain actuated by the hydraulic motor, and loading hopper configured to provide material to the chain; a sensor configured to detect a presence of a truck; and an electronic control module, wherein the electronic control module is configured to automatically increase a speed at which the chain is actuated when the sensor detects a presence of a truck.

System and method for automated sortation

System and method are provided where parcels or packages are associated or grouped, into logical group or logical containerization of parcels or packages, without need for physical container, such that parcels or packages can be tracked as a group, for example with a unique group ID. Logical group may be tracked within specified logical zone on conveyor, transported, sorted and/or otherwise processed as unique logical group without need to be contained in physical container. System and method for automated sortation can accumulate set number or set volume of packages, and then process the accumulated set number or volume of packages.

VIBRATION FEEDER DEVICE AND METHOD FOR VIBRATION FEEDING OF BULK MATERIAL
20220017312 · 2022-01-20 ·

The present disclosure relates to a method for vibration feeding of bulk material and a vibration feeder device provided for such purposes, comprising a material feed, a charging hopper including a hopper discharge, a feeder tray, a height adjustment means for adjusting a level height between the hopper discharge and the feeder tray, and a vibration driver for driving the feeder tray at an oscillation amplitude and an oscillation frequency, where a target material throughput and material specific parameters of the bulk material are input, initial parameters for the level height, oscillation amplitude and oscillation frequency are determined from these inputs, and subsequently the level height is adjusted by controlling the height adjustment means.

System and Method for Reducing Environmental Contamination at a Material Transfer Point
20220002095 · 2022-01-06 ·

Method and apparatus for the reduction of environmental pollution produced in material handling operations, especially but not exclusive in the transfer of material between two conveyor belts, one of material input and one of output of said material, are disclosed here. The pollution reduction mechanism is based on the reduction of the distance in free fall that the material travels from the material input conveyor belt, by means of maintaining live load of material inside the chute. To achieve this objective, the method considers: measuring the weight of the chute with material; the measurement of one of the two flows; the calculation of the rapidity of change of the weight of the chute; and the regulation of the mass flow of input to the chute or the regulation of the mass flow of output from the chute.
