ALIGNMENT ASSEMBLY
An alignment system is disclosed. The system includes at least one arm including a plurality of fingers, and a linkage bar connected to the at least one arm. A sensor is adapted to detect a presence of a product. A controller is configured to selectively drive the linkage bar based on a signal from the sensor such that the plurality of fingers are driven between: (1) a first position in which the plurality of fingers are adapted to extend into a conveying path of a product conveyor, and (2) a second position in which the plurality of fingers are adapted to be positioned away from the conveying path of the product conveyor.
Boxing apparatus
A boxing apparatus erects packages that can be erected along a limited section of a conveyor, without having to erect them all at once, even with individual packages that are long in the feed direction. The boxing apparatus has a fourth conveyor belt that blocks the front of a line of incoming packages and exerts an upward force on the front package. The front package is raised up by this upward force, so the following package rides up onto the package in front, and the packages are erected successively. Consequently, even individual packages that are long in the feed direction can be erected at a limited section of a third conveyor belt.
Adjustable carriage for transporting articles of various sizes and a grouping apparatus comprising the same
An adjustable carriage for receiving and moving articles on a manufacturing line is provided that includes a first base portion and a second base. A first support member is connected with and extends substantially orthogonal to the first base portion and a second support member is connected with and extending substantially orthogonal to the second base portion. The first and second support members and the base combine to define an article receiving compartment having a compartment width. The base is positionable in a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration the first base portion is positioned relative to the second base portion such that the compartment width is defined by a first length. In the second configuration the first base portion is positioned relative to the second base portion such that the compartment width is defined by a second length that is different from the second length.
Systems, apparatus, and methods for grouping articles into arrays of various configurations
An article grouping system capable of forming arrays of articles having a variable number of rows and lanes is included. The article grouping system includes an infeed carrier apparatus having an infeed carrier surface that is movable in a first direction and an outfeed carrier apparatus having an outfeed carrier surface that is movable in a second direction. A grouping apparatus comprising a plurality of carriages and a carriage drive mechanism operatively connected with each carriage. The carriage drive mechanism causes each carriage to independently move in a third direction from an article receiving zone adjacent to the infeed carrier apparatus to an article discharge zone adjacent to the outfeed carrier apparatus. A transfer apparatus includes a frame and an article stabilization member operatively connected with the frame. The article stabilization member moves from an engaging location in the article discharge zone to a disengaging location.
OVERHEAD CONVEYOR APPARATUS, OVERHEAD CONVEYOR FACILITY COMPRISING SUCH AN OVERHEAD CONVEYOR APPARATUS AND CONVEYING METHOD FOR GOODS
An overhead conveyor apparatus includes a conveyor rail defining a conveying direction. A plurality of overhead adapters are movable via the conveyor rail in the conveying direction. A stopping member is arranged on the conveyor rail for stopping at least one overhead adapter of the plurality of overhead adapters. A holding unit is arranged upstream of the stopping member for holding at least one overhead adapter of the plurality of overhead adapters.
CONVEYING SYSTEM
A conveying system, the conveying system including a conveyor arranged for conveying a storage container; a body shaped to comprise a ramp to enable the storage container to move along a first path and a substantially vertical face forming a stopping surface for stopping the storage container from moving along a second path; wherein the body is moveable between a retracted position to permit movement of the storage container along the first path of the conveyor and a raised position to prevent movement of the storage container along the second path of the conveyor; the second path being directionally opposite to the first path; wherein the body is resiliently biased in the raised position and the bias is overcome by the storage container riding over the ramp.
