CONVEYOR WITH GUIDE RAILS TO SUPPORT A DIVERT UNIT

A conveyor that includes a conveyor frame, a first guide rail assembly, a divert unit having a switch assembly, and an alignment key is described. In this regard, the first guide rail assembly is positioned on a first portion of the conveyor frame such that rails of the first guide rail assembly extends along a length of the conveyor. In some examples, the first guide rail includes a first guide rail and a second guide rail positioned parallel to the first guide rail. Further, the first guide rail defines a groove along a length of the first guide rail assembly. Furthermore, according to some examples, the switch assembly defines a key slot. The key slot is adapted to enable the alignment key to pass through the key slot and further into the groove of the first guide rail, thereby, aligning the switch assembly on the first guide rail.

System, apparatus, and method for detecting a fault in a pusher shoe of a shoe sortation conveyor

A shoe sorter is described. The shoe sorter can include a switch plate that supports movement of a shoe pin of a pusher shoe, a finger, and an actuation arm. In some examples, the finger can be configured to be moved in a first direction in response to a portion of the shoe pin contacting a portion of the finger. The actuation arm can be pivotably engaged to the finger so that a movement of the finger in the first direction can cause a movement of the actuation arm in a second direction. In this regard, the actuation arm in the second direction can cause a change in a signal outputted by the photoelectric sensor coupled to the shoe sorter. This change in the signal can be used by a processor to determine that the shoe pin is misaligned.

Vertical sequencer for product order fulfillment

A product order fulfillment system including a multi-level transport system and a lifting transport system. Each level of the multi-level transport system having a corresponding independent asynchronous level transport system separate and distinct from the asynchronous level transport system corresponding to each other level of the multi-level transport system. Each independent lift axis of the lifting transport system being configured to independently hold at least one case and being communicably coupled to each asynchronous level transport system so as to provide for exchange of the at least one case between each asynchronous level transport system and each independent lift axis. Each independent lift axis is communicably coupled to each other independent lift axis of the more than one lift axis and forms a common output of mixed cases so as to create an ordered sequence of mixed cases in accordance to a predetermined case out ordered sequence.

A sorting system for sorting parcels (2) comprises a first parcel conveyor (3) suitable for conveying the parcels in series in a certain conveying direction (D1), a second parcel conveyor (4) extending above a plurality of sorting outlets that is suitable for conveying the parcels in series. The first and second conveyors have respective contiguous conveying portions (PC) via which the first conveyor feeds the second conveyor with parcels via an injection device (6). The second conveyor is a tray conveyor having trays distributed in series and at constant pitch, each of said trays being mounted to pivot between a tilted position in which it is tilted down along the conveying direction, and a level position in which it is flush with the first conveyor. The system comprises first and second mechanical members that are designed to move the trays between their tilted positions and their level positions.
