A clamp device for retaining a container in a container-handling apparatus, for example for retaining a drinks container in a container-handling apparatus of a bottling plant, includes two clamp arms which can be moved relative to one another, wherein at least one clamp arm has an interchangeable clamp jaw with a retaining portion for retaining the container which is to be retained, wherein the clamp jaw has a latching element for undergoing a form fit with a recess formed in the associated clamp arm. A clamp jaw and a container-handling apparatus are also described.

A clamp device for retaining a container in a container-handling apparatus, for example for retaining a drinks container at a neck portion or at a body portion, includes two clamp arms, which each have a retaining portion for retaining the container which is to be retained, and at least one prestressing element for prestressing the retaining portions towards one another, wherein for the purpose of adjusting the distance which is present between the retaining portions, the clamp arms are designed in a displaceable manner in relation to the prestressing of the at least one prestressing element. A container-handling apparatus having at least one clamp device is also described.

A bottle gripping assembly including a pair of bottle gripping arms each having a grip member for gripping a bottle therebetween. The bottle gripping assembly also includes a base supporting the bottle gripping arms, with the base having a top surface and a recess into the top surface, a wear pad located in the recess of the base, with the wear pad and the base under the upper surface of the recess having a pair of aligned fastener holes, a pair of fasteners, with each one of the fasteners extending through one of the bottle gripping arms and into one of the fastener holes to connect the bottle gripping arms to the wear pad and the base, and a pair of wear bushings, with each of the wear bushings having a tubular portion that extends into one of the bottle gripping arms and surrounds a portion of the fasteners.

A transfer apparatus for use in a multiple processing region system is disclosed that includes a carousel that includes a hub having a plurality of transfer arms extending therefrom. Each of the transfer arms include a first end coupled to the hub and a second end, the second end comprising a component supporting region, and a plurality of electrical interface connections distributed about the component supporting region.

A capping machine includes a gripper having a pair of gripping arms provided on an outer peripheral portion of a rotating body and configured to grip a cylindrical portion of a vessel, an opening and closing device configured to open and close the gripping arms, and a capping head liftably and rotatably provided on the rotating body. The gripping arms are arranged symmetrically with respect to a radius of the rotating body. The gripper has a protrusion for preventing the vessel from rotating on a vessel gripping surface of the gripping arms. The gripping arms have outer and inner gripping surfaces which are connected in a V shape. The protrusion is formed only on the inner gripping surface of a right gripping arm. A cap held by the capping head is screwed onto the vessel while sticking the protrusion into the cylindrical portion.

An apparatus and a method for transferring articles from a pick-up area to a delivery area, wherein there is provided a guide element having a guide surface which moves along a closed path at a base speed, and wherein there are provided a plurality of transfer elements, each of which is provided with a gripping surface for holding an article and is movable with respect to the guide surface with a relative speed, so that, with respect to a stationary reference system, each of the transfer elements moves along the closed path with a compound speed given by an algebraic sum of the base speed and the respective relative speed.

A gripping device for gripping, holding and guiding containers, in particular bottle-like containers. The gripping device including at least one gripper arm pair having a first gripper arm as well as an oppositely designed second gripper arm, wherein both gripper arms have a respective bearing bore via which they can be pivotably mounted, and a closing means (or opening means) for the gripper arm pair. With the objective of providing a reliable opening mechanism, the first gripper arm has a contour lever and the second gripper arm has a follower lever in operative engagement with one another and serving as opening means (or closing means) for the gripper arm pair.

A container-transport machine that selectively ejects container includes a transporter that is movable relative to a base and grippers arranged at the transporter. Each gripper suspends a container that is to be transported. An actuator is arranged at the base so as to be stationary relative to the transporter. The actuator is disposed at an ejection position for participating in selectively ejecting an individual container. A selectively-actuatable air nozzle disposed on the base at the ejection position promotes ejection of a container when an opening lever of a gripper interacts with the actuator while the opening lever passes through an ejection position.
