The invention relates to a substrate comprising two main faces defining two main surfaces separated by edges, said substrate bearing a functional coating deposited on at least one portion of one main surface and a temporary protective layer deposited on at least one portion of the functional coating. The temporary protective layer, cured by drying, by UV irradiation or by an electron beam, has a thickness of at least 1 micrometer and is not soluble in water. This temporary protective layer is obtained from a liquid composition comprising (meth)acrylate compounds selected from monomers, oligomers, prepolymers or polymers comprising at least one (meth)acrylate function.

Alternatively, an apparatus for manufacturing a stack including a support and a remaining portion of a processed member whose one surface layer is separated is provided. A positioning portion, a slit formation portion, and a peeling portion are included. The positioning portion is provided with a first transfer mechanism of a stacked film including a support and a separator and a table for fixing the stacked film. The slit formation portion is provided with a cutter that can form a slit which does not pass through the separator. The peeling portion is provided with a second transfer mechanism and a peeling mechanism extending the separator and then peeling the separator. In addition, a pretreatment portion activating a support surface is included.

Glass interleaving paper

Provided is a glass interleaving paper capable of suppressing scratches on surfaces of glass plates in a manufacturing process or a distribution process for storing and transporting a plurality of stacked glass plates. The glass interleaving paper is characterized in that a main component is cellulose pulp, a basis weight is 10 to 100 g/m.sup.2, and content of mineral having a Mohs hardness of at least 5 is 400 ppm or less. When the mineral having a Mohs hardness of at least 5 is a silicate mineral, the glass interleaving paper is more useful.

It comprises a film substrate at least one main surface of which is covered by an adhesive coating. At least a part of the said at least one main surface of the substrate is free or substantially free of adhesive, or has less adhesive applied to it than does the rest of that surface, thereby to provide a finger lift region of the film at an edge of the surface covered thereby.

Methods of processing a glass substrate and glass apparatus

Methods of processing a glass substrate comprise the step of obtaining a glass substrate and a tab removably attached to a portion of the glass substrate.
