Rollers with wear-indicating features and belt conveyor incorporating same
A belt conveyor includes rollers spaced apart in a conveying direction along a carryway run on which a conveyor belt is moved. Each of the rollers includes a cylindrical body including an outer circumferential peripheral surface, in contact with the conveyor belt, and a thickness extending between opposed ends, and a wear indicator between opposed ends for providing a visual indication of wear in the cylindrical body in one embodiment and an audible indication of wear in the cylindrical body in another embodiment.
Conveyor belt specification determining method
Provided is a conveyor belt specification determination method. Severity of a use condition of a conveyor belt is categorized into categories. A database in which a permissible range of prescribed characteristics of an upper cover rubber, including wear resistance and cut resistance, for each of the categories is set is created; a degree of influence of representative rubber physical properties, which affect the prescribed characteristics, of the upper cover rubber on the prescribed characteristics is ascertained; a category is identified from the use conditions of the conveyor belt on the basis of the database; an appropriate range of the representative rubber physical property is identified for which the prescribed characteristics are in the permissible range in the identified category; and a rubber type for which the rubber physical properties are in this appropriate range is selected as the upper cover rubber.
TRANSPORT SYSTEM, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE TRANSPORT SYSTEM
A transport system for conveying goods in a conveying direction along a conveyor belt plane of a conveyor belt is provided. On a bearing, oriented along the conveyor belt plane, for bearing the goods and, on a guiding side of the conveyor belt, at least one guide surface, oriented along the conveyor belt plane, for guiding the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt includes a plurality of notches in the guide surface. The notches include a plurality of guide notches to engage at least one guide ridge for guiding the conveyor belt along the conveying direction, wherein a longitudinal axis of each of the guide notches is oriented along the conveying direction, and a number of drive notches for engaging at least one drive ridge for driving the conveyor belt along the conveying direction.
Drop and slide out idler assembly
The invention is directed to a drop and slide out idler assembly that can all be removed from a first side of a conveyor system. The assembly includes a first end roller unit with a roller having an axis of rotation at an angel with respect to the horizontal, and a middle roller unit with a roller having an axis of rotation that is horizontal. The assembly further includes a second end roller having a roller that can be raised at one end to have an axis of rotation at an angle with respect to the horizontal, and lowered to have an axis of rotation that is horizontal. In the lowered position, the second end roller unit can be slid out from under a conveyor belt of the system through the first side.
DUAL CONVEYOR FOR AUTONOMOUS GUIDED VEHICLE
A conveyor assembly is provided for use with a mobile vehicle. The conveyor assembly includes a conveyor module. The conveyor module includes a first roller assembly. The first roller assembly includes a first rotatable roller body and a second rotatable roller body. The first and second roller bodies are interconnected to each other in such a manner as to share a first rotational axis yet be at least substantially rotationally independent of each other, such that each of the first and second roller bodies can rotate without causing or interfering with rotation of the other of the first and second roller bodies.
Translation movement device employing belt drive
A translation movement device includes a guide, a long slider guided by the guide, and a belt driver displacing the slider; and the belt driver includes an open belt arranged parallel to the slider, a drive pulley for the open belt, and a tension bar arranged parallel to the open belt; and the tension bar is connected to the long slider at a middle position between two belt holders that hold respective end portions of the open belt.
Directional discharge wing pulley
A directional discharge wing pulley having a plurality of wings that discharge material in a single direction while properly tracking the conveyor belt. The directional discharge wing pulley may include a plurality of directional discharge wings, which are generally angled in a single or primarily in single direction across the entire face of the pulley. When pulley is operated a reverse rotation direction, the conveyor belt continues to properly track and the material is discharged in the opposite direction. The wings may have bends to create flat sections, or formed in a multiple arc pattern to create smoother changes in geometry or increased wing angle near the ends of the pulley, while generally maintaining a single direction wing through the entire pulley. Strengthening rib bends may be added near the end of a straight wing to add rigidity reducing the likelihood of wing fold over. The wings may include secondary wings, for example, in a Herringbone pattern. In some applications, the wings may include longitudinal or circumferential wing tips. In other applications, the wings may include a multi-start spiral.
Conveyor belt system
A conveyor belt system includes a frame with a conveyor belt driven by at least two rollers so that an upper belt functions as transport surface and a lower belt functions as return, wherein the frame has an upper segment extending substantially above the upper belt and a lower segment extending substantially under the upper belt, wherein the upper segment has at least two upper standing walls with a mutual spacing which, at least at the position of the upper belt, is smaller than the width of the conveyor belt, and wherein the lower segment has at least two lower standing walls with a mutual spacing which is greater than the width of the conveyor belt, wherein the upper belt is supported on either side by a plate extending respectively from below the upper belt to an outer side of the lower standing wall.
Belt conveyor system
A belt conveyor system including an elongate housing having at least one troughing idler assembly disposed therein. The troughing idler assembly includes a center medial roller and a plurality of side rollers. Each of the rollers includes a shaft having ends supported by at least one bearing having a first face and a second face. The bearings supporting the side rollers are mounted to an exterior of the elongate housing in such a manner that the first face and the second face of at least one of the bearings are visible.
