A multi-use package receptacle for deliveries to and pickups from a home or business, the receptacle comprising a first compartment for receiving a package delivered from a delivery service and a second compartment for receiving an item to be picked up by a pickup service. An access control unit configured to lock and unlock the first and second compartments, wherein the access control unit grants access to both the first and second compartments to a user associated with the home or business, and the access control unit grants access to the first compartment to a verified delivery service and grants access to the second compartment to a verified pickup service.

SLEEPER TRANSPORT VEHICLE
A sleeper transport vehicle has a loading area which includes a lower supporting loading plane and an upper supporting loading plane, wherein in each loading plane a guide is arranged in which pallets are guided in the longitudinal direction of the sleeper transport vehicle, wherein, at a front side, a transfer area is arranged into which the guides protrude in order to pass along during a working operation pallets with new sleepers in one loading plane to a further sleeper transport vehicle or loading/unloading vehicle arranged at the front side, and to receive pallets with old sleepers in the other loading plane. In this, it is provided that in each loading plane a pushing device for pushing the pallets along the guide is designed as at least one circulating chain protruding into the transfer area, and that coupling elements are arranged on the pallets for temporary coupling to the chain.
Methods and apparatus for novel fabricators with Cleanspace
The present disclosure provides various apparatus and methods for novel cleanspace fabricator designs. In some examples, a cleanspace fabricator may be comprised of vertically stacked tools wherein the product and the processing tools are conveyed through the cleanspace. The fabricator may comprise a processor performing cognitive computing algorithms. In some examples, the processor may be located at a remote location and communication with the cleanspace fabricator. Product may be comprised of or processed upon substrates in some examples. In other examples product may be comprised of materials contained within vessels. In some examples the product within vessels may be in liquid or powder form.
Method and tool cart for transferring a tool component
A tool cart having a frame, a lifting device for lifting the frame, a locking device to lock the tool cart horizontally relative to a work station or a packaging machine (collectively referred to below as the “packaging machine”), and a stop element that may engage with an underside of the packaging machine when lifted. The lifting device and locking device operate independently. A method for transferring a tool component including one or more of the steps of: aligning the tool cart relative to the packaging machine; locking the tool cart in position relative to the packaging machine; lifting a frame of the tool cart by way of a lifting device until the stop element engages an underside of the packaging machine; and transferring the tool component between the tool cart and the packaging machine may be included.
Multi bin vehicle
A container-handling vehicle picks up storage containers from a three-dimensional grid of an underlying storage system. The container-handling vehicle has a vehicle body and wheels for moving the vehicle in two perpendicular directions on the grid. The vehicle body surrounds a cavity within which at least a first lifting device and a second lifting device are positioned adjacent to each other. Each lifting device is independently controlled and arranged to lift a storage container from the grid and into the cavity. The vehicle includes at least one vertical frame guiding element arranged inside the cavity. The frame guiding element extends between the lifting devices.
MULTI BIN VEHICLE FOR AN AUTOMATED STORAGE AND RETRIEVAL SYSTEM COMPRISING A THREE DIMENSIONAL GRID
A container-handling vehicle for picking up storage containers from a three-dimensional grid of an underlying storage system includes a first set of wheels arranged at opposite sides of a vehicle body, for moving the vehicle along a first direction on the grid; a second set of wheels arranged at opposite sides of the vehicle body, for moving the vehicle along a second direction on the grid, the second direction being perpendicular to the first direction; and the first set of wheels displaceable in a vertical direction between a first position, wherein the first set of wheels allow movement of the vehicle along the first direction, and a second position, wherein the second set of wheels allow movement of the vehicle along the second direction. The vehicle body surrounds a cavity within which at least a first lifting device and a second lifting device are positioned adjacent to each other, each lifting device is arranged to lift a storage container from the grid and into the cavity, such that a bottom of the storage container is at a level above the lowest level of the second set of wheels.
Vehicle inspection system, method and smart garage
A vehicle inspection system is described. The vehicle inspection system comprises: an inspection device, for performing an inspection on a vehicle to be inspected; a carrier platform, for carrying the vehicle to be inspected; and an unmanned controlled travelling device for moving the carrier platform to pass through a scanning area of the inspection device, so as to perform the inspection on the vehicle to be inspected. In the present disclosure, the vehicle to be inspected is carried by the carrier platform, and the unmanned controlled travelling device is used to move the carrier platform to pass through the scanning area of the inspection device, so that the vehicle to be inspected can be subject to inspection smoothly. There is no driver required to drive through the scanning area in this process, thus avoiding exposure of a driver to a threat of radiation.
Storage station for storing containers transported by unmanned vehicles
A storage station includes a housing defining an inner space, and having a top and side passage for passage of a container. One or more funnels are provided at the top passage for guiding the passage of containers therethrough, and an actuator system is provided for, selectively, engaging a container with a suspension system and disengaging a container from a suspension system. Also provided is a transfer system that is inclusive of the storage station, a UAV, a reusable container; and methods of transferring reusable containers between UAVs, the storage station, and other transport stations.
