A sheet feeding apparatus includes a sheet stacking portion, a sheet feeding unit including a rotary feeding member and a separation member, the sheet feeding unit executing a feeding operation of feeding the sheet, a load detecting unit configured to detect a conveyance load acting on the sheet feeding unit, a control unit configured to control the sheet feeding unit such that the sheet feeding unit executes the feeding operation to a second sheet succeeding to a first sheet with a first feeding interval or with a second feeding interval which is longer than the first feeding interval in response to a detection result of the load detecting unit while feeding the first sheet, wherein each of the first and second feeding intervals is defined by a time interval from starting to feed the first sheet until starting to feed the second sheet.

A sheet feeder includes a first rotary member, a separation member that cooperates with the first rotary member in holding the sheet between the separation member and the first rotary member to define a separation nip, a conveyance unit disposed downstream of the separation nip in a conveyance direction of the sheet, a driving unit, and a control unit. The first rotary member feeds a sheet. The conveyance unit conveys the sheet. The driving unit drives the first rotary member. The control unit controls the driving unit to stop driving the first rotary member when a leading edge of the sheet reaches the conveyance unit, and controls the driving unit to restart driving the first rotary member when a trailing edge portion of the sheet comes out of the separation nip.
MEDIUM FEEDING DEVICE, IMAGE READING APPARATUS, AND RECORDING APPARATUS
A medium feeding device includes a feed roller that feeds a medium from a medium placement unit on which the medium is placed a separation roller that nips the medium between the feed roller and the separation roller to separate the medium, a motor that applies a rotational torque to the separation roller, and a control unit that controls the motor. The rotational torque is transmitted to the separation roller from the motor not via a torque limiter and the separation roller separates the medium with the rotational torque applied to the separation roller.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
The present invention provides an image forming apparatus that reduces image artifacts caused by the back tension of a separating unit. A control unit decreases the number of rotations (the rotational speed) of a resist roller pair after the leading edge of a sheet reaches a transfer position.

A sheet feeding apparatus is provided with a disengaging mechanism configured to disengage a conveyance member and a separating member to be apart from each other. Either one of the conveyance member and the separating member is provided in a unit, which is attached to an apparatus body and is configured to be detached from the apparatus body toward a downstream side in the sheet conveyance direction, while the other provided in the apparatus body. A restriction portion is configured to restrict the unit from being attached to and detached from the apparatus body in a state where the conveyance member and the separating member are in contact with each other and to permit the unit to be attached to and detached from the apparatus body in a state where the conveyance member and the separating member are disengaged by the disengaging mechanism.

A sheet feeding apparatus includes a sheet supporting portion including a supporting surface, an abutment portion against which a leading edge of the sheet abuts, a feeding rotator configured to feed the sheet, a first friction member provided on the supporting surface so as to face the feeding rotator, the first friction member including a first friction surface having a static friction coefficient greater than that of the supporting surface, a trailing end supporting portion configured to support a trailing end portion of the sheet curved upward, and a second friction member disposed upstream of the first friction member in the sheet feeding direction on the supporting surface, the second friction member including a second friction surface which has a static friction coefficient greater than that of the supporting surface and is configured to be in contact with the sheet supported by the supporting surface.
SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD
A sheet processing apparatus is described. The sheet processing apparatus includes a housing section, a conveyance mechanism and a controller. The housing section accommodates a sheet. The conveyance mechanism conveys the sheet accommodated in the housing section to a predetermined position at the downstream side in a sheet conveyance direction. The controller controls the conveyance mechanism to remove a needle-free binding section of a sheet bundle if a conveyance jam of the sheet occurs.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a sheet container accommodating a recording medium therein, a sheet separating feeder including a sheet feeding body and a sheet separating body, an image forming part, and a bend applier. The sheet feeding body feeds the recording medium along with a surface movement thereof while the recording medium contacting the surface thereof. The sheet separating body forms a sheet separation nip region with the sheet feeding body and sandwiches the recording medium in the sheet separation nip region. The sheet separating feeder separates and feeds the recording medium contacting the sheet feeding body. The image forming part forms an image on the recording medium. The bend applier having a leading end of an elastic material contacts and bends the recording medium before the sheet separation nip region and generates a wrinkle extending on the recording medium in a sheet conveying direction.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a sheet container accommodating a recording medium therein, a sheet separating feeder including a sheet feeding body and a sheet separating body, an image forming part, and a bend applier. The sheet feeding body feeds the recording medium along with a surface movement thereof while the recording medium contacting the surface thereof. The sheet separating body forms a sheet separation nip region with the sheet feeding body and sandwiches the recording medium in the sheet separation nip region. The sheet separating feeder separates and feeds the recording medium contacting the sheet feeding body. The image forming part forms an image on the recording medium. The bend applier having a leading end of an elastic material contacts and bends the recording medium before the sheet separation nip region and generates a wrinkle extending on the recording medium in a sheet conveying direction.
FEEDING APPARATUS
A feeding apparatus includes a rotary member unit having a feeding rotary member to feed a recording material and a separating rotary member which forms a nip portion with the feeding rotary member, an output unit, and a control unit. Where a single recording material is fed to the nip portion, the separating rotary member is rotated in a predetermined direction by the single recording material and, where recording materials are overlapped with one another and fed to the nip portion, the separating rotary member rotation is stopped or rotated in a direction opposite to the predetermined direction to separate the overlapped recording materials. The output unit outputs a state signal in accordance with a separating rotary member rotation state. The control unit obtains a rotation speed of the separating rotary member from the state signal output and determines that the rotary member unit is replaced with a new product.
