System and a method for irradiating an object
11097309 · 2021-08-24 · ·

A system and a method for irradiating an object and potentially for controlling the irradiation or other conditions relating to an effect of the irradiation. A sensor is translated along a longitudinal direction of the radiation emitter and in a space between the radiation emitter and the objects irradiated to arrive at information relating to a parameter relating to the effect of the irradiation, such as the radiation, and derived in the space between the radiation emitter and the objects irradiated. Calibrating the sensor readings and adjusting the radiating emitter output, thereby controlling the irradiation.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EXTENDING SHELF LIVES OF BOTANICAL AND FOOD PRODUCTS
20210235728 · 2021-08-05 · ·

Systems and methods for processing a product. The methods comprise: receiving the product in a vacuum chamber, the product enclosed within a first packaging item having at least a portion that is semi-permeable under vacuum conditions; introducing a reagent into the vacuum chamber (the reagent comprising a combination of a sterilization substance for sterilizing the product and a preservation substance for preserving a sterilization state of the product); causing the reagent to pass through the portion of the first packaging item that is semi-permeable such that a sterilization of the product by the sterilization substance occurs concurrently with a modification of an internal atmospheric condition within the first packaging item by the preservation substance; and preserving the sterilized state of the product via the modified internal atmospheric condition of the first packaging.

Systems and Methods of Sanitizing Powdered Food Product
20210251249 · 2021-08-19 ·

This application is directed to systems and methods of creating sterilized powdered food product. Specific examples regarding breast milk are described whereby the milk is powderized and placed into a vat before it is passed along to a sterilization chamber in which it is fluidized and sterilized by UV-C light. Once powdered food product has been sufficiently sterilized, it can be loaded into syringes for distribution. Embodiments of the inventive subject matter are designed to maintain nutritional value of the powdered food at levels that were not previously possible, opening new opportunities for storing and distribution of, e.g., donor breast milk.
