SPLICING DEVICE AND TAPE DETECTING METHOD USING THE SAME
A splicing device includes a first detection section which detects whether or not the component storage section protrudes downward from the conveyance reference surface; a second detection section which detects the component storage section of the paper tape; a discrimination section which determines whether a tape inserted into the splicing device is the embossed tape or the paper tape based on a detection signal of the first detection section; a first calculating section which calculates a pitch of the component storage section of the embossed tape by using the first detection section in a case where the embossed tape is determined; and a second calculating section which calculates a pitch of the component storage section of the paper tape by using the second detection section in a case where the paper tape is determined.
SPLICER ASSEMBLY
The invention relates to a splicer assembly for splicing material webs. The splicer assembly comprises a first dispensing device for dispensing a finite first material web, a second dispensing device for dispensing a finite second material web, a connecting device for connecting the finite first material web and the finite second material web so as to form an endless material web, and a material web threading assistance assembly for assisted threading of the finite first material web or of the finite second material web into the splicer assembly in a threading procedure. The material web threading assistance device comprises at least one conveying installation for conveying the finite material web to be threaded in a threading direction in the threading procedure, and a conveying installation drive installation for driving the at least one conveying installation in the threading procedure.
AUTOMATIC FEEDER
An automatic feeder for a strip of material, comprising: an orientation assembly (10), structured to retain a free end (T) of a strip (R) on a predetermined gripping plane (11), in a waiting position; a gripping device (20), structured to grasp the free end (T) of a strip (R) and to translate the end (T) from the waiting position to a feeding position, in which the end (T) can be grasped by another operating device (D).
Automatic replacement apparatus and method for feed material
An automatic replacement apparatus for a feed material includes a discharge unit discharging a feed material to the outside, a pair of feed units disposed to be adjacent to the discharge unit and having a feed roll around which the feed material is wound, and a pair of material joint units respectively provided in the pair of feed units connecting a front end of a first feed material waiting in a first feed unit, one of the pair of feed units, and an end of a second feed material being transferred from a second feed unit, the other of the pair of feed units, to the discharge unit in a butt joint manner.
AUTOMATIC SPLICING DEVICE
An automatic splicing device is provided with a reading device which reads identification information affixed to each of a first reel around which first tape is wound and a second reel around which the second tape is wound, the identification information recording information of each of components stored in cavities in each of the first tape and the second tape; a communication device which communicates with the reading device and a component mounter or a host computer connected to the component mounter such that communication is possible; and a control device which controls the tape connecting mechanism and the communication device.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR COMBINING TOBACCO SHEETS
The apparatus for combining tobacco sheets comprises a first shaft for carrying a first bobbin of tobacco sheet and a second shaft for carrying a second bobbin of tobacco sheet. The apparatus also comprises a splicing unit for combining an end portion of tobacco sheet from the first bobbin to a head portion of tobacco sheet from the second bobbin. The splicing unit comprises a cutting device for cutting the tobacco sheets such as to provide complementary cuts to the tobacco sheets from the first bobbin and from the second bobbin, a dispensing device for dispensing water to at least one of the tobacco sheets, and a combining device for applying force onto the tobacco sheets thereby producing a spliced tobacco sheet.
Label holder with magnetic suction plate
A vacuum station comprising a main housing and a pair of arms extending from the main housing. The arms are configured to hold a roller. The main housing has a front face and a rear face, with the front face having a recess therein. An air path extends from the front face to the rear face. The vacuum station also includes a removable plate having a plurality of suction holes therethrough located within the recess in the front face of the main housing. The removable plate is removably connected to the main housing by magnets. A sheet of labels can be held to the removable plate by a suction force through the air path in the main housing and the suction holes in the removable plate.
SEPARATOR SUPPLY DEVICE AND SEPARATOR SUPPLY METHOD
A separator supply device is provided. The separator supply device includes a frame, a separator supply portion mounted on the frame, and including a first reel mounting portion configured to accommodate a first reel configured to be wound with a first separator, and a second reel mounting portion configured to accommodate a second reel, spaced apart from the first reel, and configured to be wound with a second separator, and a separator connection portion configured to adsorb an end of the first separator unwound from the first reel and an end of the second separator unwound from the second reel and to connect the first separator to the second separator.
Unwinding section and a method of joining ends of fiber webs in an unwinding section
The invention relates to a method and an unwinding section for unwinding a fiber web from a parent roll, which unwinding section comprises at least one unwinder for unwinding a fiber web from a parent roll and a joining device configured to join a trailing end of a running-out parent roll to a beginning end of a next, new parent roll to be unwound in a parent roll change. The unwinding section comprises a broke handling device configured to handle broke. The unwinding section comprises a tensioning device located between the joining and the broke handling, and the tensioning device is configured to tension and straighten the fiber web to be joined between the tensioning device and the joining device before joining of the end of the fiber web from the running-out parent roll and the end of the fiber web from the next parent roll to be unwound.
