BRAKE ASSEMBLY FOR A TAPE DISPENSER
A tape dispenser housing wound adhesive tape includes a brake spoke tapering (i.e., narrowing) from a distal radial end to a proximal radial end relative to a tape rotational axis, wherein the brake spoke effectuates the braking of wound adhesive tape on a hub by contacting the wound adhesive tape, the hub, or both simultaneously.

WRAPPING MATERIAL ROLL TENSIONER SYSTEM, METHOD OF MANUFACTURE AND USE
A dispensing box with a roll tensioner houses a material roll and maintains a material cutting edge in an upward position for easy grasping during use. The roll tensioner comprises distal and proximal end sections with opposing bottom tabs separated by a spring back reversion section. A roll tensioner slide assembly integrated in the front wall of the dispensing box has opposing parallel slits terminating at opposing parallel slots with parallel locking flaps. Opposing bottom tabs of a roll tensioner are inserted through the parallel slots, resting in a first position during non-use and adapted to be slid down into a second position in the parallel slits when later engaged for use to retain the material cut edge in the upward position for easy grasping. The locking flaps have break-away top and bottom walls abutting a bend wall and are in a stored position and later opened outward to a locking position during use to prevent movement of the roll tensioner.
Transport apparatus, printing apparatus
A transport apparatus includes: a support unit that supports a roll; a drive unit that rotates the support unit; a cover configured to cover at least part of the support unit; and a load applying unit that applies a load to the support unit, wherein the cover is movable between a closed position at which the cover covers at least part of the support unit and an open position which is different from the closed position, and the load applying unit applies a large load to the support unit when the cover is located at the closed position compared with the case where the cover is located at the open position.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REGISTERING IMAGES OF HISTOLOGICAL SECTIONS
An automated tissue section slicing, staining, and imaging system efficiently registers full-resolution tissue section images by applying scaled transformation matrices computed to register downsampled tissue section images to the full-resolution tissue section images.
ROLL PAPER PRINTER
A printer is provided with a roll paper holding portion that holds roll paper without axially supporting the roll paper; a sheet conveying unit that conveys a sheet supplied from the roll paper, a printing unit that executes printing on the sheet; and a roll paper pressing unit that presses the roll paper held in the roll paper holding portion, wherein the roll paper pressing unit is provided with a pressing roller that presses the roll paper and rotates along with the sheet conveyance, and a rotation suppressing portion that suppresses the rotation of the pressing roller.
WRAPPING MATERIAL ROLL TENSIONER
A roll tensioner for use in maintaining a wrapping material cut edge of a wrapping material retained on a wrapping material roll located within a wrapping material box having an interior cavity with an interior front wall with a top cutting edge. The roll tensioner comprises a thin, flexible main body having distal and proximal end sections separated by a spring back reversion section, and formed having a first side and a second side. Attachment means, preferably an adhesive, is located on at least a portion of the proximal end section on the first side adapted to attach the proximal end section to the interior front wall of the wrapping material box. The spring back reversion section is composed of a material that has an immediate elastic response to a static load and is capable of substantially full recovery when the static load is removed. The distal end mechanically bends downward by way of the spring back reversion section in the interior cavity of the wrapping material box. The distal end section is adapted to rest against the wrapping material proximal to the wrapping material cut edge to retain the wrapping material cut edge in an upward, substantially parallel position to the interior front wall of the wrapping material box for easy grasping of the wrapping material cut edge by an end user.
Sheet supplying apparatus and printing apparatus
A printing apparatus is configured to perform in a first mode in which a second driving unit drives a second spool to feed out a sheet from a roll to a printing unit via a second guide, the printing unit performs printing on the fed sheet, and a basket unit receives the printed sheet printed on by the printing unit, and a second mode in which a first driving unit drives a first spool to feed the out the sheet from a roll to the printing unit via a first guide, the printing unit performs printing on the fed sheet, and the second driving unit drives the second spool to wind up the printed sheet printed by the printing unit as a roll.
