09550644 · 2017-01-24 · ·

The unwinder of reels of web material wound around winding spindles (A), comprises a unwinding station (13) with at least one unwinding member (23) to rotate a reel (B) that is located in said unwinding station and feed the web material toward a delivery path (E). Lifting members (51, 53) are provided to lift a spindle of a first exhausted reel from the unwinding station (13), in a removal position (PR). An insertion member (7; 33) is further provided to insert a second reel into the unwinding station (13). A pressing member (61) is arranged to press the web material coming from the first reel in removal position (PR) against the second reel in the unwinding station (13).

Media conveyance control method and printer

A printer 1 has a movable member 27 that can move following change in the tension on recording paper 3 between a roll paper compartment 7 and a conveyance mechanism 12 on the paper conveyance path 8. When recording paper 3 of which the end is glued to the core 2a of a paper roll 2 runs out, the tension on the recording paper 3 rises and the movable member 27 goes to a tension-side error determination range E1 in its range of allowable movement E0. When the movable member 27 is in the tension-side error determination range E1, the time the movable member 27 remains in the tension-side error determination range E1 is counted, and if this measured time exceeds an error determination time, an error detection unit 38 detects an error. No-paper errors can therefore be detected without using a dedicated sensor.

COMPOUND EQUIPMENT OF LATEX-FREE TUFTED CARPET

A compound equipment of a latex-free tufted carpet is provided. The compound equipment includes an unwinding device, a compound roller, and a shaping device. The unwinding device is configured to unwind a rolled blank blanket, a hot-melt fiber mesh, and secondary cloth. The compound roller is configured to stack and compound the unwound blank carpet, the unwound hot-melt fiber mesh and the unwound secondary cloth in sequence to obtain a preformed tufted carpet. The shaping device is configured for the setting of the preformed tufted carpet at a preset temperature to obtain a finished tufted carpet. Combined with the hot-melt fiber mesh, the secondary cloth and the blank carpet are consolidated by means of thermally induced bonding, and latex is not needed for consolidation.

Media Processing Device with Variable Media Tensioning System and Associated Methods

A media processing device includes a platen roller opposing spaced from a printhead to form a nip. The platen roller rotates at a platen speed to pull media from a media roll in a downstream direction along a media path. A media supply spindle configured to support the media roll and to rotate at a payout speed to dispense media from the media roll. A dancer arm includes a roller configured to engage the media along the media path and a sensor detect a position of the dancer arm. A logic circuit receives an output signal from the sensor, determines that the position of the dancer arm has changed based on the signal, and adjusts the payout speed of the media supply spindle.

Method and device for producing a tape-wound toroidal core
20250308771 · 2025-10-02 ·

A method for producing a tape-wound toroidal core includes: providing a soft-magnetic tape on two tape reels, unwinding the tape and winding the tape onto two winding mandrels to form a multilayer first tape roll, wherein, after in each case several layers, a separating plate is inserted into the first tape rolls that have formed, reducing the distance between the winding mandrels until the first tape rolls touch each other, unwinding the tape and winding up the tape to form a multilayer second tape roll, which wraps around the first tape rolls, by rotating the winding mandrels about a common second rotation axis, severing the tape rolls in steps to form a plurality of tape sections, picking up at least one reel and placing the reel onto the tape sections, reshaping free ends of the tape sections and connecting the ends of the tape sections to form a closed ring.

Spool Tensioner
20250353696 · 2025-11-20 ·

A spool tensioner includes a main body member, a cap and an elastic band. The elastic band fits around a spool of line, and a line feeds through the main body member and through a centrally located hole on the top of the cap. The elastic band may be tightened and adjusted to maintain tension on a spool of line, such as fishing line. The line may be unwound from the spool while the spool tensioner is in place on the spool, and in operation, the spool spins within the elastic band while the spool tensioner remains generally stationary. In this way, the spool tensioner allows line to be unwound from the spool while maintaining tension thereon to prevent the line from inadvertently unraveling and tangling or snarling.

Film free end control apparatus and method for a stretch wrapping machine
12552571 · 2026-02-17 ·

An apparatus and method for stretch wrapping of a palletized load uses film tension feedback derived from a film tension control load cell to control film dispensation. The load cell measures film tension and the film payout rates is determined by the film tension. Film tension values are used to determine when an out of bounds condition occurs, namely, when a film break has occurred, or when a possible film break is about to occur or when the film has been cut at the end of a wrapping cycle. To prevent film free end entanglement caused by a break, clamps engage the film so the film tail is controlled, eliminating the risk of recoil. The broken film tail may then be quickly and reliably reattached to the rotating load in a desired position.

COMPACT END EFFECTOR FOR THE APPLICATION OF DOUBLE-SIDED ADHESIVE TAPES WITH AN INTEGRATED ROLL
20260062246 · 2026-03-05 · ·

An end effector configured for the application of double-sided adhesive tapes and comprising: a roll mount; a guide arrangement; an application arrangement; and a removal arrangement. The the roll mount is designed to receive a roll of adhesive tape, the guide arrangement is designed for guiding an adhesive tape provided by a roll of adhesive tape arranged in the roll mount from the roll mount to the application arrangement, and the application arrangement is designed for guiding an adhesive tape fed to the application arrangement in such a manner that, in an application region, the adhesive layer of the adhesive tape lies on the outer side of the end effector, as a result of which the end effector can bring a substrate which is to be adhesively bonded into contact with the adhesive layer of the adhesive tape.
