A medium feeding apparatus includes a roll motor which applies torque for rotating a roll body to the roll body, a storage portion which stores output measured value, which is measurement result of output value to the roll motor for rotating the roll body, and a roll control portion which corrects the output measured values stored in the storage portion to correction value in accordance with stop time of the roll motor, and controls the roll motor based on the corrected output measured values.
MEDIUM WIND-UP APPARATUS
A medium wind-up apparatus includes a reel-out motor, which is a driving source that winds up a medium, a control portion that controls the reel-out motor on the basis of a torque limit value, which regulates an upper limit of an output torque of the reel-out motor, and a reel-out side detection portion that detects a rotation speed of the reel-out motor, in which the control portion changes the torque limit value on the basis of the detected rotation speed. In this case, it is preferable that the control portion increase the torque limit value in a case in which the detected rotation speed falls below a first threshold value, and that the control portion reduce the torque limit value in a case in which the detected rotation speed exceeds a second threshold value, which is larger than the first threshold value.

A medium feeding apparatus includes a feeding roller which feeds a medium unwound from a roll body around which the medium is wound, a roll motor which applies torque for rotating the roll body to the roll body, and a roll control portion which controls the roll motor at the time of a feeding operation based on effective tension calculated by acquiring a feeding amount of the medium fed at each of a plurality of acquiring timings included in a pre-feeding operation, which is a feeding operation performed in advance, acquiring tension applied to the medium between the roll body and the feeding roller between a plurality of the acquiring timings, and weighting a plurality of the acquired tensions with the corresponding feeding amount.

A sheet feeding device includes a support, a rotation driver, a guide, a support shaft, a biasing member, a leading end sensor, a roller, an outer diameter sensor, and circuitry. The circuitry causes the rotation driver to rotate a spool in a winding direction to determine a timing at which a signal change rate exceeds a change rate threshold as a passing time at which a leading end of a continuous sheet passes through the leading end sensor, causes the rotation driver to rotate the spool by a rotation angle in the winding direction, from the passing time, to position the leading end of the continuous sheet at a feeding start position, and rotates the spool in a feeding direction to feed the continuous sheet from the feeding start position along a guide portion. Further, the circuitry changes the change rate threshold based on an outer diameter of a roll.
SHEET FEEDING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCORPORATING SAME
A sheet feeding device includes a support that detachably supports a roll, a rotation driver that rotates a spool, a guide including a facing portion and a guide portion, a support shaft that swingably supports the guide, a biasing member that presses the guide, a sensor that retractably projects from the facing portion and outputs a detection signal, a roller that contacts an outer circumferential surface of the roll, and circuitry that controls the rotation driver. The circuitry determines a passing time based on a first change rate and a second change rate, and causes the rotation driver to rotate the spool by a predetermined angle in a winding direction, from the passing time, to position a leading end of a continuous sheet at a feeding start position, and rotates the spool in the feeding direction to feed the continuous sheet from the feeding start position along the guide portion.
AUTOMATIC TAPE DISPENSING SYSTEM
An automatic tape dispensing system comprising a feed system having a plurality of rollers, the rollers driven by a motor for peeling tape from a tape roll and dispensing the tape from the dispensing system. The system further includes a reel for supporting the tape thereon and a track supporting the reel. The track extends from a first upper end to a second lower end, the reel movable from the upper end to the lower end in response to tape being dispensed from the system in order to maintain a desired tension on the tape roll.

A printing apparatus includes a conveyance unit, a printing unit, and a control unit. The conveyance unit includes a feeding unit, a conveyance roller pair, a feed driving unit, a first encoder, and a second encoder. The control unit is configured to execute a feed adjustment operation of adjusting tension of the medium fed from the feeding unit by controlling the feed driving unit such that the control unit executes the feed adjustment operation based on an output of the second encoder in a first period from a start of rotation of the conveyance roller pair until a specified time elapses and such that the control unit executes the feed adjustment operation based on an output of the first encoder in a second period after completion of the first period.

The adhesive tape pasting device comprises an unwinding station, a winding station, a winding electric motor and an adhesive tape pasting assembly, where after the unwinding station unwinds a double-faced adhesive tape and the adhesive tape pasting assembly pastes an adhesive tape of the double-faced adhesive tape onto a foil, the winding electric motor drives the winding station to wind a remaining release paper of the double-faced adhesive tape. The adhesive tape pasting device further comprises an unwinding driving assembly, where the unwinding driving assembly drives the unwinding station to carry out unwinding work, and in the adhesive tape pasting process, the unwinding work and winding work are carried out synchronously.
