An apparatus (un-interleaver) for unwinding a roll of material interleaved with another material, and for separating the materials, includes a first platform, a second platform, a tension-sensor, an edge-sensor, and a controller. The controller monitors signals generated by the tension sensor and the edge sensor, and in response to the signals: a) causes the speed at which the second platform rotates to change to maintain a predetermined tension in the second material as the second material travels from the first platform toward the second platform, and b) causes the second platform to move relative to the first platform to align the edge of the second material traveling toward the roll of second material with the edge of the second material in the roll.

Method of controlling operation of a winder for a fiber web
This invention relates to a method of controlling the operation of a winder in which method while forming at least one fiber web roll the fiber web is brought on the web roll via a nip formed by a first support drum and the web roll, which first support drum is driven by a first drive assembly (20) applying controllable torque to the drum and the winding force is applied to the web roll by a second drive assembly (22). In the method the second drive assembly (22) is controlled based on the indicative speed difference of the second drive assembly (22) and setting a friction coefficient for determination of maximum winding force.

Method and parameterization unit for parameterization of a tractive force controller of a controlled roller of a web-processing machine, the tractive force controller controlling a speed of the controlled roller in order to transport a material on the web-processing machine from the controlled roller to a further roller or from a further roller to the controlled roller at a line speed and while being subjected to the tractive force. The method includes, during a standstill test at a line speed of zero, increasing the tractive force to an identification tractive force, preferably 90% of a predetermined standstill tractive force operating point, to determine standstill system parameters of the tractive force system, to calculate standstill controller parameters of the tractive force controller from the standstill system parameters of the tractive force system, preferably by a frequency characteristic method, and to parameterize the tractive force controller using the standstill controller parameters.

An elongated sheet-shaped packaging material is wound into the wound body. The wound body includes a recording medium that stores information. The information recorded in the recording medium includes remaining amount information indicating a remaining amount of the packaging material in the wound body. The packaging device includes a drive unit that generates driving force in order to rotate the wound body, an information reader that reads the remaining amount information stored in the recording medium, and a controller that controls the packaging device. The controller sets a rotation speed of the wound body based on the remaining amount information read by the information reader.

The output unit outputs the winding condition. The winding parameter includes a web width, a web transport velocity, and a web winding length. The winding condition includes a tension of the web at the start of winding and a tension of the web at the end of winding.
