MANAGING CONDENSATION WITH FLUID CONTROL FILM APPARATUS

A condensation management apparatus comprises a first microstructured film arranged to condense water vapor on a substantially vertical surface of a component. The first film comprises channels disposed on first and second major surfaces of the first film and dimensioned to support capillary movement of condensate. The channels have a channel axis substantially parallel with a longitudinal axis of the first film. The longitudinal axis of the first film is tilted at a tilt angle of at least 4 degrees with respect to an axis normal to a direction of gravity. Openings in the channels are disposed at one or both end edges of the first film. The openings provide condensate release locations of the first film. A second film is disposed over a portion of the first film. The second film attaches the first film to the substantially vertical surface of the component.

A refrigerator or freezer device at a refrigerator or freezer (1) having, a house (3), fan devices (4), refrigeration or freezing aggregates (5), a perforated trough bottom assembly (2), an inlet (6) and an outlet (7) where the perforated trough bottom assembly (2) can include a first perforated trough bottom part (2b) and a second perforated trough bottom part (2a), where the first part and second part are subjected to the action of the fan devices (4) and the refrigeration or freezing aggregates (5) and the first part (2b) of said perforated trough bottom assembly (2) next to the inlet (6) is heated so that food materials are prevented from being stuck to the perforated trough bottom assembly (2).

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SEASONING

[Problem] The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for manufacturing a variety of seasoning ingredient liquids having a high extract solids content, the method making it possible to prevent a decrease in collection rate due to burning and quality degradation due to microbial contamination while improving productivity through a continuous heating process performed for a short period of time, and to impart superior flavors and impart flavors in a more versatile manner while inhibiting the destruction of taste-contributing components. [Solution] As a result of thoroughgoing investigations into solving the above problem, the inventors of the present invention perfected the present invention upon discovering a method for manufacturing a seasoning in which a direct steam-heating cooker is used, whereby a desired flavor is imparted in a mild manner within 60 seconds while a continuous heating treatment at 130 C. or above is performed, and destruction of taste-imparting components can be minimized.

Novel Liquid Cooler

A liquid cooler comprises a hot liquid container, a cold liquid container, a cooling sleeve, a heat exchanger and a plurality of connecting pipes. The hot liquid container communicates with the cooling sleeve through the connecting pipes. The cooling sleeve has a double-layer structure, the inner pipe of which is used for transporting a hot liquid and the outer pipe thereof is used for transporting cooling water. The cooling water cools the hot liquid in the inner pipe once forming a cold liquid, and the cold liquid passes through the connecting pipes to reach the cold liquid container. The heat exchanger cools the cold liquid for a second time forming an ice liquid. After the two-stage cooling, the hot liquid is made into an ice liquid beverage of required temperature avoiding the bitterness and rancidity of high-temperature liquid beverages.

A metering apparatus (1) for metering frozen piece goods, comprising a housing (10) which defines a refrigerated chamber (11), wherein a piece goods container (3), a first conveyor unit (4), and a weighing unit (5) are arranged in the refrigerated chamber (11), wherein piece goods can be transported from the piece goods container (3) via the first conveyor unit (4) to the weighing unit (5), wherein an airlock (13) is arranged below the weighing unit (5), through which piece goods can pass out of the refrigerated chamber (11).

Method and system for treating a product

A vessel having an opening for receiving the product and walls surrounding the vessel at all sides except the opening. The interior of the vessel is filled with a fluid having a specific gravity lower than a specific gravity of a medium surrounding the walls outside the vessel. While the vessel is oriented with the opening facing downwards, the vessel and/or product is/are conveyed to ensure that the product enters the interior through the opening.

THERMAL PROCESSING APPARATUS

A conveyor belt (36) is arranged in at least one spiral conveyor unit (32) or (34) is arranged in tiers forming at ascending spiral stack (38) and/or a descending spiral stack (40). A ceiling or top sheet (58) is positioned over the spiral stack. A circulation fan (60, 62) draws spent thermal processing medium laterally from the tiers of the spiral stack, up the exterior of the stack and across the top of the stack above the ceiling or top sheet and through a heat exchanger (64) located above the ceiling. The treated thermal processing medium is then routed across the remainder of the diameter of the spiral stack and then down the side of the spiral stack diametrically opposite to the circulating fan thereby to enter the spiral stack in a lateral direction diametrically toward the circulating fan. At least one opening (70, 100, 200) is formed in the ceiling between the heat exchanger and the diametrically distal end of the spiral stack from the circulating fan thereby to provide an alternative flow path for a portion of the thermal processing medium to enter the spiral stack from above, thereby resulting in more uniform treatment of the work product being carried by the conveyor of the spiral stack.
