A combination of a dispenser for dispensing portions of sealing material and a sealing material in the form of a flexible film, wherein the sealing material comprises polytetrafluoroethylene film having the following parameters: a film thickness of 50 to 500 m; a density between 1.20 and 1.80 g/cm3; a longitudinal strength of more than 11 N/mm2; a transversal strength of more than 2 N/mm2; a longitudinal elongation of more than 200%; and a transversal elongation of more than 1000%.

A wire handling device positioned between the drum and the apparatus is suitable for extracting the wire from the drum to feed the wire to the apparatus. A lid is placed above the drum and an outlet passage for the wire is provided at a top of the lid. The storage and feeding assembly has a spacer suitable for being positioned in a releasable manner between the upper end of the drum and the lid in such a way as to act as an extension for the drum.

A payout tube assembly is provided for unwinding filamentary material from a wound coil of filamentary material contained in a container having a wall panel with a hole that aligns with the payout tube assembly. The payout tube assembly includes a payout tube. The assembly also includes a generally planar payout panel affixed to the payout tube. The payout panel defines a central opening through which one end of the payout tube is received. In one embodiment, the payout panel defines a first set of arcuate slits and a second set of arcuate slits extending about the axis of the payout tube, the first and second sets of arcuate slits spaced radially and circumferentially from each other. In one embodiment, the payout panel defines radial slits extending from the central opening and defining payout panel fingers that are glued to the payout tube.

An endless tab for supporting welding wire ends within a bulk welding wire container may include a first connection portion, a second connection portion, and an extension portion. The connection portions may be disposed on opposing sides of the endless tab, and the extension portion may be disposed between the connection portions. The endless tab be constructed from a planar sheet of corrugated material that may be folded into a deployed configuration. When in the deployed configuration, the connection portions may have a substantially inverted U-shape cross-section, while the extension portion may extend horizontally from the front side of the connection portions. The connection portions may be configured to extend over a top edge of a liner and/or support of the container, while the extension portion extends into the interior of the container. The extension portion may include an opening through which a welding wire may be threaded.

A canister-yarn tensioning assembly is adapted for controlling tension in a running yarn drawn from a yarn supply package located within an open-top canister. The canister-yarn tensioning assembly includes a cylindrical adapter configured to reside at a mouth of the open-top canister. The adapter defines an unobstructed package transfer space sufficient to allow the yarn supply package to be manually lowered through the adapter and into the canister. A pivoted support arm is carried by the adapter, and configured to pivot at a connection point located on a peripheral flange of the adapter. One or more yarn tensioners are carried by the pivoted support arm, and are movable between an operative position within the package transfer space and an inoperative package-replacement position outside of the package transfer space.
