METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING DRAWING OF YARN FROM A BOBBIN
The invention provides a method and a system for monitoring of yarn drawn axially from a bobbin (24a). It is desired to monitor one or both of remaining capacity of an active bobbin and transfer from one active bobbin 24a to the next.
A free portion (30) of the yarn moves circumferentially about the bobbin as the yarn is drawn from it. The invention involves a sensor responsive to electromagnetic radiation arranged to sense the free portion (30) of the yarn and to provide an output which varies with a period P corresponding to the period of the circumferential movement of the free portion of the yarn about the bobbin (24a). The period P can be interpreted to provide the desired information.
Methods and devices for transporting yarn
A system can comprise a plurality of containers that are coupled together as a movable unit. A plurality of container-feeding assemblies can be configured to simultaneously deliver respective yarns into respective containers of the plurality of containers. A header can be selectively attachable to a tufting machine, the header having a longitudinal axis. A retainer can be configured to extend across the header along the longitudinal axis to secure the respective yarns in respective positions relative to each other along the longitudinal axis.

SYSTEM FOR THE LOADING OF YARN PACKAGES ON A CREEL ASSEMBLY
Disclosed is a system for the loading of yarn packages on a creel assembly. The system may include a creel assembly with at least one lateral face having a plurality of receiving bullhorns arranged outwardly according to a horizontal axis to engage a respective yarn package, and a loading device movable along a path arranged along the creel assembly. The loading device may include a detection means to identify an empty receiving bullhorn of the creel assembly, a positioning means to adjust a bullhorn carrying a yarn package to be loaded onto the creel assembly so that the free end of this bullhorn is placed in front of the free end of the empty receiving bullhorn of the creel assembly, and a transfer mechanism for the effecting translation of the yarn package to the empty receiving bullhorn of the creel assembly.
Cable dispensing system and apparatus
A hand cart for dispensing wire is provided. The hand cart comprises a cart body extending vertically between a bottom portion and a top portion, and a plurality of wheels connected to the bottom portion of the cart body. The hand cart may support multiple racks, each rack having bins to house wire containers. The racks may have a dispensing cone for directing wire as it is pulled out of the wire containers. The cart is equipped with a brake assembly connected to the bottom portion of the cart body, the brake assembly having an engaged configuration in which the assembly extends to a surface on which the wheels rest and engages the surface to prevent the hand cart from changing location, but allowing it to be pivoted about the brake assembly.
