A ripening compartment for a refrigerator and a refrigerator having the same. The ripening compartment for a refrigerator includes a drawer provided in a cabinet of the refrigerator in a drawable mode, an upper end of the drawer being open to form a top opening for taking and placing foods, and a rear wall plate of the drawer including an air outlet and an air return port; an upper cover plate provided above the drawer, and closing the top opening of the drawer and defining a ripening space together with the drawer when the drawer is completely pushed into the cabinet; and an air flow circulation assembly provided on a rear side of the rear wall plate of the drawer and prompting air flow to enter the ripening space through the air outlet and be blown out from the air return port.
Microwavable frozen dumplings and methods thereof
A method of making a microwavable frozen dumpling, whereby a raw dumpling containing a dough and one or more filling ingredients is boiled to form a boiled dumpling, and the boiled dumpling is frozen to form the microwavable frozen dumpling. The dough of the microwavable frozen dumpling includes a rice flour, an oil, and a modified cellulose polymer, and has a moisture content of at least 52.0 wt. %. A method of preparing a cooked dumpling is also provided, whereby the microwavable frozen dumpling is heated in a microwave oven without covering the microwavable frozen dumpling.
Method and apparatus of extreme vacuum cooling
A method and apparatus is disclosed relating to food preparation in commercial kitchens and food processing plants. The disclosed extreme vacuum cooling (EVC) technology and apparatus can work in ultra low pressure conditions with adaptive pressure control to avoid potential liquid splash inside the vacuum chamber caused by un-controlled low pressure conditions. Clean air is added into the vacuum chamber to allow the chamber pressure to track a setpoint trajectory that may have ramp up periods in order to avoid liquid splash events. The apparatus enables the user to cool various kinds of foods quickly, save energy, and meet food safety regulations.
Liquid cryogen delivery and injection control apparatus
A delivery apparatus and method for delivering liquid cryogen to a chilling application includes a liquid cryogen feed tank; a liquid cryogen conduit in fluid communication between the feed tank and the chilling application; a weight measurement device for controlling the weight of liquid cryogen to be delivered to the chilling application through the conduit; a flow controller for controlling the speed of delivery of the liquid cryogen to the chilling application; wherein the chilling application uses the liquid cryogen to produce an exhaust gas; a device for measuring the temperature of the exhaust gas, the device in operative communication with the flow controller; wherein the flow controller is configured to vary the speed of delivery of liquid cryogen in response to the temperature of the exhaust gas.

The removable support may include apertures that allow melting ice water to drain past the top surface and through the apertures of the removable support.

A freshness-preserving container for food, includes a shell with a cover which can be sealingly placed on the shell. The freshness-preserving container has a mechanically operating low-pressure generating unit with which an air pressure that is reduced compared to the surrounding area outside of the freshness-preserving container can be adjusted in the freshness-preserving container. The low-pressure generating unit has an actuating element which can be moved relative to the freshness-preserving container, and air can be suctioned out of the freshness-preserving container dependent on the movement of the actuating element. A domestic refrigerator including a freshness-preserving container is also provided.

A method for manufacturing an instant egg/edible bird's nest soup with fermented glutinous rice, comprising the steps of preparing the fermented glutinous rice wine, separating the wine juice from the rice dregs, preparing the dehydrated egg droppings/edible bird's nest shreds, vacuum freeze drying and vacuum packing; the instant egg/edible bird's-nest soup with fermented glutinous rice manufactured according to the method of the present invention is easily portable, and can be immediately consumed after being brewed in hot water; the flavor of the brewed egg/edible bird's nest soup with fermented glutinous rice is fresh and sweet; the shape of the rice dregs and the egg droppings/edible bird's nest shreds can be perfectly kept, and the rice dregs and egg droppings/edible bird's nest shreds are soft and good-tasting.
Food cooling apparatus
A food cooling apparatus, including a generally pear shaped housing having a bottom portion connected to a middle portion tapering to a top portion, an electric fan connected to an interior wall of the housing and operative to draw air into an air inlet and out an air outlet, and a rechargeable battery supported within the bottom portion. A connector portion configured to attach to an external surface extends downward from the bottom portion. The housing has a generally hollow interior with the air inlet located on the middle portion or bottom portion and the air outlet located on the top portion. The air outlet is generally perpendicular to the housing in an upright position. The electric fan is not visible from the outside of the generally pear shaped housing. The rechargeable battery operationally provides power to the electric fan. The lower portion has a greater mass than the middle and top portions such that the center of gravity of the housing is lowered.

A food processor (100) includes a cooling device (10) including a box (11). The box has a cooling space (111). The cooling space has an inner peripheral wall (113) made of graphene steel material. The graphene steel material of the inner peripheral wall of the cooling space includes steel and graphene which are mixed. Thus, the graphene effectively inhibits growth of the ice crystals, to prevent the cell membrane and cell wall from being damaged. In addition, the graphene maintains the nutrition, aroma and weight of the foodstuff when thawing.
