PROTECTIVE DEVICE FOR FISHING RODS FOR USE ON FISHING VESSELS
A fishing rod shield for use on a fishing vessel. The fishing rod shield protects fishing rods while also providing improved safety to the fishing vessel. The fishing rod shield includes a rod protector and a cover positioned over the rod protector. The rod protector includes a plurality of openings through which a fishing rod may be at least partially inserted and easily removed. The shield includes an anti-slip or other safety surface to provide improved safety on the fishing vessel.
Boat fishing devices
A fishing system for fishing in a center console or smaller fishing boat in the big or rough seas is provided. The fishing system may include a teaser rigger mounted to the fishing boat, wherein a teaser release line is received through at least two pulleys and operatively associating a teaser to a boom. The fishing system may separately or in combination include a leader saver connected to a fishing rod in the fishing boat. The fishing system may separately or in combination include a non-skid material of fighting chair frictionally engaging a flat surface provided in the fishing boat.

The claimed invention teaches a rod holder with a convenient adjustment mechanism that allows a user to adjust the angle of the rod holder in two planes without the use of a tool and with only one hand.

FISHING AID
Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward a fishing rod holder that includes a mounting portion configured to mount to a portion of a support structure and extend the fishing rod holder outwardly from the support structure. The fishing rod holder may also include a first rod holding portion including a first linear section extending away from the mounting portion and a curved portion at an end of the first linear section configured to at least partially surround a portion of a fishing rod. The fishing rod holder also may include a line release portion configured to releasably mount to a bottom surface of the first rod holding portion, and apply tension to the fishing line.
FISHING AID
Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward a fishing rod holder that includes a mounting portion configured to mount to a portion of a support structure and extend the fishing rod holder outwardly from the support structure. The fishing rod holder may also include a first rod holding portion including a first linear section extending away from the mounting portion and a curved portion at an end of the first linear section configured to at least partially surround a portion of a fishing rod. The fishing rod holder also may include a line release portion configured to releasably mount to a bottom surface of the first rod holding portion, and apply tension to the fishing line.
FISHING ROD HOLDER AND RETAINER
A fishing rod holder and retainer include a top plate that includes a main opening, and a retainer opening. A cylindrical tube extends downwardly at an angle away from the top plate. A rod retainer includes a retainer cable having a retainer clasp adjacent the retainer opening. A retainer channel is coupled to the top plate and aligned with the retainer opening and configured to extend downwardly to guide the retainer cable so that the cable extends down into the retainer channel. A biasing device is coupled to the retainer cable and configured to bias the retainer cable downwardly within the retainer channel.
FISHING ROD HOLDER AND RETAINER
A fishing rod holder and retainer include a top plate that includes a main opening, and a retainer opening. A cylindrical tube extends downwardly at an angle away from the top plate. A rod retainer includes a retainer cable having a retainer clasp adjacent the retainer opening. A retainer channel is coupled to the top plate and aligned with the retainer opening and configured to extend downwardly to guide the retainer cable so that the cable extends down into the retainer channel. A biasing device is coupled to the retainer cable and configured to bias the retainer cable downwardly within the retainer channel.
Fishing rod carrier
A fishing rod carrier includes a plurality of horizontal elongate tubes each sized to receive a fishing rod, the elongate tubes being stacked on plural levels, each elongate tube is capped at the distal end. A reel box is attached to the proximal ends of the plurality of elongate tubes and defines an interior space that is continuous with an interior of each of the plurality of elongate tubes, and is configured to enclose a plurality of reels while they are attached to a corresponding plurality of fishing rods disposed within the plurality of elongate tubes. A clamping mechanism is configured to secure the fishing rod carrier to a rooftop rack of an auto.
