SENSING APPARATUS FOR YARN FEEDER
20190032253 · 2019-01-31 · ·

A sensing apparatus for yarn feeder may comprise a yarn feeder and a tension controller. The tension controller has an elongated sensing block installed therein, and a horizontal extending board is connected to the sensing block. An operating rod is mounted on a middle upper surface of the extending board at one end and upwardly sticks out of the tension controller to pivotally connect to a tension pulley at the other end. A yarn wound on a winding wheel of the yarn feeder is configured to couple with the tension pulley. At least an impedance sensing piece is attached on a surface of the sensing block, and a deformable hole horizontally penetrates through the sensing block. When the sensing block is pressed or pulled, the tension controller can obtain the tension value of the yarn and further calculate the torsion value of the yarn feeder.

One-way snare apparatus and method for isolating a broken elastic strand

During the process of making elastomeric laminates, elastic material is advanced and stretched in a machine direction and may be joined with one or more substrates advancing in the machine direction. During the assembly process, one-way snare apparatuses and methods may be configured to automatically isolate elastic materials that may break. The one-way snares may include a housing and a snare member movably connected with the housing, wherein the snare member is movable relative to the housing between a first position and a second position. The one-way snares are adapted to permit advancement of continuous elastic strands in a first direction through the housing when the snare members are in the first position, and to prevent an end portion a broken elastic strand from retracting in a second direction through the housing when the snare member is in the second position, wherein the second direction is opposite the first direction.

WELL TREATMENT FIBER DELIVERY SYSTEM

A fiber delivery system capable of providing cut fiber segments for use in treating an oil and/or gas well. The fiber delivery system can utilize bales of a continuous filamentary tow that are transported to the well site from a remote manufacturing location. At the well site, a multifilament strand can be pulled off the bale, opened, and cut to provide cut fiber segments. The cut fiber segments can be mixed with other well treatment components to create a well treatment medium that is introduced into the well as part of a drilling, stimulation, or cementing process.

A self-synchronizing yarn tension control system is provided. Self-synchronizing yarn tension control includes a yarn brake, a yarn movement sensor, a yarn tension sensor, a yarn brake, and a controller configured to control the system. The controller is configured to store one or more tension thresholds and store instructions that when executed cause one or more processors to perform operations. The operations include obtaining a yarn movement signal from the yarn movement sensor, determining whether a textile machine is operational based, at least in part on the yarn movement signal, obtaining a yarn tension signal from the yarn tension sensor, comparing the yarn tension signal to the one or more tension thresholds, generating one or more brake control signals based on said comparison, and operating the yarn brake based upon each of the one or more brake signals.

Yarn feed assembly to relieve yarn hang ups having a variable yarn pull-off angle and method of using same

A yarn feed assembly for directing yarn from a wound yarn source to a yarn feed tube having a frame member positioned adjacent to the wound yarn source and defining at least one elongate interior chamber. The yarn feed assembly has a weighted member slideably received in the elongate interior chamber such that, upon pulling one yarn off of the wound yarn source, through a bore of the weighted member and into the yarn feed tube, the weighted member is axially movable along a longitudinal axis of the frame member such that the bore of the weighted member is axially movable about and between a bottom end and a top end of the elongate slot in response to tension applied to the yarn as a result of yarn hang ups on the wound yarn source.
