Device and method for winding up a film at a packaging machine
A device for winding up a film at a packaging machine, the device including a reception mandrel drivable for rotation about a rotation axis and a reception sleeve for the film for being pushed onto the reception mandrel. The reception sleeve may be formed by segments arranged next to each other along a circumference or perimeter of the reception sleeve, wherein neighboring or adjacent segments may be pivotably connected to each other. The reception mandrel may be formed as rigid body having engagement structures that are configured to cooperate with shape features of an inner circumference or perimeter of the reception sleeve, when the reception sleeve has been pushed onto the reception mandrel, so that a rotation of the reception mandrel about the rotation axis causes the reception sleeve to rotate with the reception mandrel.
METHOD FOR ADAPTING AT LEAST ONE WINDING PARAMETER OF A WINDING DEVICE
The invention relates to a method for adapting at least one winding parameter of a winding device during winding of a film web on a winding core, having the following steps:—conveying of the film web along a measuring path between a first driven roll and a second driven roll—increasing of the web tension of the film web between the first roll and the second roll—continuous detecting of the drive parameters of the first roll and of the second roll at least in the form of the torque and the circumferential speed,—determining of a stress-strain diagram from the detected drive parameters—adapting of at least one winding parameter of the winding device on the basis of the determined stress-strain diagram in order to achieve a defined elongation of the film web during winding on the winding core.
Printer accessory and printer
According to one example there is provided an accessory for a printing system. The accessory comprises a cylindrical core on which a web of media may be wound, and a flexible sheet having a first end attached to the core and a second free end opposite the first end having a media connector attached thereto, the media connector to connect a free end of a web of media thereto.

Core for winding elastomeric yarns
A paperboard core is described above that is designed to receive a yarn wound thereon, such as an elastomeric yarn that relies on friction for proper winding of the yarn onto the core. In particular, the core includes a clay-coated paper outer ply which is capable of providing direct frictional engagement of the core with the yarn, such that the yarn is windable on the core via direct contact between the clay-coated outer ply and the yarn. In this way, there is no need to use a film on the outer surface of the core in order to obtain the desired frictional properties that will result in proper winding of the yarn onto the core.

CORE, SEPARATOR ROLL, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SEPARATOR ROLL
A core prevents a battery separator wound there a round from moving and becoming misaligned on an outer circumferential surface of the core in a widthwise direction of the core. The core allows a separator to be wound around the outer circumferential surface thereof and is made of resin. The core includes a groove formed on the outer circumferential surface thereof, the groove extending in a direction substantially equivalent to a circumferential direction of the outer circumferential surface.

Core for wrap dispenser and method of its use
A film roll compatible with a wrap dispenser comprising a core with a first end with a notch, a second end with a notch, an outer surface and a lumen, a stretch film wrapped around the core, a wrap dispenser comprising a first frame member and a second frame member, a handle connecting the first frame member to the second frame member, a first roller operationally associated with a second roller with each being connected to the first frame member and the second frame member, an upper boss secured to the first frame member with one or more lugs emanating out of the upper boss, a boss handle operationally associated with the upper boss allowing for the raising and lowering of the upper boss, and a lower boss secured to the second frame member with one or more lugs emanating out of the lower boss.
Cylindrical sleeve
An assembly is disclosed. The assembly includes a cylindrical sleeve and a length of material that is wound upon itself defining a wound roll. The cylindrical sleeve includes an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface of the cylindrical sleeve defines a passage extending through the cylindrical sleeve. The length of material includes an inner surface and an outer surface. A portion of the inner surface of the length of material forms a passage extending through the wound roll. The outer surface of the cylindrical sleeve is secured to the portion of the inner surface of the length of material that forms the passage extending through the wound roll. The wound roll forms an upper axial end and a lower axial end. The wound roll is defined by a length extending between the upper axial end and the lower axial end. The cylindrical sleeve forms a distal end and a proximal end. The cylindrical sleeve is defined by a length extending between the distal end and the proximal end. The length of the cylindrical sleeve is greater than the length of the wound roll to thereby define a first portion of the length of the cylindrical sleeve that extends beyond the upper axial end of the wound roll and a second portion of the length of the cylindrical sleeve that extends beyond the lower axial end of the wound roll. Both of the first portion of the length of the cylindrical sleeve and the second portion of the length of the cylindrical sleeve is defined by a Sheffield Smoothness that is less than 350. A method is also disclosed.
