The disclosure relates to a winding device for winding a rope onto a rope drum rotatable about a rotation axis. The winding device includes a rope guide for feeding the rope to the rope drum. The rope guide has a pivoting arm having a longitudinal axis and has a deflection element. The pivoting arm is pivotable about a pivot axis. The deflection element is disposed on the pivoting arm. The winding device is conceived such that the rope when being wound onto the rope drum passes the pivoting arm before the deflection element. The rope guide includes a delimitation element. The delimitation element is disposed such that a pivoting movement of the pivoting arm about the pivot axis is limited to a critical angular range (Δ). The deflection element is tiltable about a tilting axis. The tilting axis extends along the longitudinal axis of the pivoting arm.

A tape roller accessory that allows a person to adapt a standard GaffGun™ tape roller to accept standard rolls of tape other than the tape the Gafftech company provides. The adapter includes a metal shaft with threads on one end that screw into the standard GaffGun™ assembly and threads on the opposite end to accept a threaded thumbnut that helps retain truncated cone members which in turn support a 2″, 3″ or other width of standard tape roll. The truncated cone members can be made of resilient material to frictionally grab the edges of the core of a standard tape role.

A tape roller accessory that allows a person to adapt a standard GaffGun™ tape roller to accept standard rolls of tape other than the tape the Gafftech company provides. A wind-up drum includes a tape holding member including an insertion hole for inserting a support shaft of a rotating device and configured to hold a wound tape, and a wound member attached to the tape holding member, configured to wind up the tape by rotating the support shaft by the rotating device in a state in which the support shaft is mounted, and including a rotating member that rotates in contact with the support shaft when the wound member is detached from the support shaft in a state in which the tape is wound.

Multi-functional coilable thin-walled structures that can be implemented within space-based satellite modules, and methods for their manufacture are provided. Multi-functional coilable thin-walled structures are comprised of at least one longeron that is capable of rolling and collapsing upon itself. In some embodiments, the coilable thin-walled longeron is a flange longeron. The flange longeron contains at least two major regions: a web and a plurality of flanges. The web region comprises portions of flanges that are bonded to one another. The plurality of flanges separate from one another on the same end of the web region. The plurality of flanges are similar in thickness and shape.
