Fire hose handling and re-loading apparatus
An apparatus to handle and relocate rolled fire hose, the apparatus includes a frame, a rotating platform mounted to the frame, a pair of leg members joined by a pivot that splays and retracts the frame, and wheels mounted on the lower portion of each leg. The rotating platform is operable to rotate around an axis perpendicular to the splaying plane created by the legs. The collapsible apparatus, when upright, provides a two tined fork for straddling and lifting the lower perimeter of a rolled fire hose. When tilted rearwards onto the apparatus' wheels, the fork raises the rolled hose off the ground and thus enables dollying the rolled hose to any location. When the apparatus is oriented horizontally, the apparatus provides a means for easy, yet controlled uncoiling of the hose roll as the hose is fed to firefighters reloading the hose back onto fire truck's hose bed.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ELECTRICAL CORD STORAGE
An electrical cord storage device is adapted to be affixed to an electrical appliance. The device includes a base having a first surface shaped to substantially conform to and adapted to be affixed to a surface of an electrical appliance and a second surface opposed to the first surface. The device also includes a post having a first end affixed to the base and extending from the second surface of the base to a second end to form a cord-wrapping structure adapted to receive an electrical cord of the electrical appliance wound thereon. The device further includes a dome affixed to the second end of the post, extending radially away from the post, and curving toward an imaginary plane substantially normal to the post located at the first end of the post. Other implementations are described.
Collapsible and adjustable reel
A reel includes a first flange, a second flange, and a plurality of segmented structures each including a plurality of links pivotably coupled to a bracket of the first flange by a first end pivot rod and to the a bracket of the second flange by a second end pivot rod. The plurality of links is configured to have a first stable arrangement and a second stable arrangement different from the first stable arrangement. In the first stable arrangement, the first flange and the second flange are separated by a first distance with the reel being configured to support a first maximum load of cable, while in the second stable arrangement, the first flange and the second flange are separated by a second distance less than the first distance with the reel being configured to support a second maximum load of cable less than the first maximum load of cable.
EXTENDABLE SPOOL
An extendable spool is disclosed. The length of the extendable spool is able to continuously varied. The extendable spool accounts for length variances in flow lines by extending the flow line rather than redirecting the flow. Because the flow direction does not make any turns, erosion is minimized on both the extendable spool and downstream parts. The extendable spool is readily scalable from small diameters to large diameters. Because of this, it requires fewer lines and therefore less setup time to account for length differences between large diameter lines.
INSTALLATION TRAILER FOR COILED FLEXIBLE PIPE AND METHOD OF UTILIZING SAME
A system includes a collapsible trailer frame and a lifting mechanism coupled to the collapsible trailer frame. The lifting mechanism is configured to raise or lower a coil of pipe or a reel of pipe. The system also includes a braking mechanism.
EXPANDABLE DRUM ASSEMBLY FOR DEPLOYING COILED PIPE AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A drum assembly includes a support bar, expandable spokes extending away from the support bar, drum segments mounted to the expandable spokes, support brackets disposed on the support bar, a primary mechanical actuator extending between the support brackets, and secondary mechanical actuators extending from the support brackets.
Spool assembly and method of assembly
A spool configured to support a roll of material. The spool comprises an arbor, a first flange, and a second flange. The first flange includes a first plurality of flange panels that are rotatably connected to respective arbor panels of the arbor at a first arbor edge of the arbor. The second flange is connected to a second arbor edge of the arbor. The first flange is configured to transition between a retention configuration and an open configuration. In the retention configuration, the roll of material is substantially prevented from removal from the arbor along an arbor axis by the first and second flanges. In the open configuration, the roll of material is removable from the arbor and receivable on the arbor in the arbor direction.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR WINDING A CABLE
A cable winding apparatus mounted on an arm of an excavator. The cable winding apparatus comprises a housing, a hydraulic motor disposed within the housing where a portion of the hydraulic motor extends through the second wall of the housing, a drive shaft extending through the housing that is connected to the motor, and a collapsible power reel. The collapsible power reel comprises a plurality of segments movably coupled to the collapsible power reel and extending radially from the collapsible power reel. The plurality of segments can engage a cable and enable the cable to be wound around the collapsible power reel as the hydraulic motor rotates the collapsible power reel. The plurality of segments are configured to collapse in an axial direction, thereby enabling the wound cable to be easily removed from the apparatus.
Magnet sheet winding device and propping tool thereof
A cylindrical winding tool 3 has three elongated members 5 obtained by splitting a cylindrical member in its axial direction into multiple pieces. The elongated members are interconnected in a hinged state in a circumferential direction by the magnet sheet. When the elongated members 5 are to be used, the elongated members 5 are placed in a spread state and arranged on the magnetically-attached object 4. When the elongated members 5 are not used, the elongated members 5 are gathered together in the circumferential direction, abutment sections 5b of the end faces of the adjacent elongated members are brought into abutment on each other and thus the cylindrical winding tool 3 having a required diameter can be formed.
