Cable Retainers for Packaging
Cable retainers may include a panel having a pair of loop locks. The loop locks may engage each other to form a loop. The cable retainer may include a first and a second retention loop. Each retention loop may have a finger with a slot formed at a fold line of the finger. Each retention loop may also have a flap with a tab formed at a fold line of the flap. The finger and the flap of the first retention loop may be located directly across the panel from one another. The finger of the second retention loop may be located at a first end of the panel while the flap of the second retention loop may be located at a second end of the panel. The tabs and slots of each retention loop may interlock to form a rectangular cable passage. The cable retainer may be formed entirely of paper and may be formed without adhesive.
Collapsible cord spool
A collapsible cord spool 100 includes a base 102, defining one or more pivots 104, 106, and mounted to a power converter block 108 having a cord 110. The collapsible cord spool 100 further defines first and second cord cleats 112, 114. The first and second cord cleats 112, 114 include opposed projections 116, 118. The first and second cord cleats 112, 114 are movable about one or more pivots 104, 106 and may be stowed or deployed. In the deployed position, the first and second cord cleats 112, 114 define a cord wrapping region 302 to receive windings of the cord 110.
Device for receiving an elastomer strand and for feeding the elastomer strand to a processing device
A device for receiving an elastomer strand, in particular a sealing strand, that is to be conveyed to a processing location, and for feeding the elastomer strand at the processing location to a device for separating pieces from the elastomer strand and processing them, has a roll that receives the elastomer strand in the form of a coil, a conveying container that receives the roll with the coil and systems for rotating the roll within the conveying container in order to unwind the elastomer strand from the roll and feed it to the processing system. The conveying space required for the device after the elastomer strand has been unwound from the roll can be reduced.
Spool assembly and method of assembly
A spool configured to support a roll of material. The spool comprises an arbor, a first flange, and a second flange. The first flange includes a first plurality of flange panels that are rotatably connected to respective arbor panels of the arbor at a first arbor edge of the arbor. The second flange is connected to a second arbor edge of the arbor. The first flange is configured to transition between a retention configuration and an open configuration. In the retention configuration, the roll of material is substantially prevented from removal from the arbor along an arbor axis by the first and second flanges. In the open configuration, the roll of material is removable from the arbor and receivable on the arbor in the arbor direction.
Fire Hose Pack Roller
The fire hose pack roller includes a first embodiment where the device is held in place by a bracket positioned under a vehicle's tire and the weight of the vehicle secures the device for use or in a second embodiment where the device is removably mounted to the vehicle. The hose pack roller device includes a pair of collapsible arms that are unfolded and the fire hose is would around pegs mounted on the arms. The device further includes a set of rollers that squeezes air and water from the hose as it is wound. Once wound the hose is easily folded into a Gansner type pack for storage of the hose. The arms of the device may be folded closed such that the device forms a compact unit for storage. No external power supply is required.

Cable reel
The present disclosure relates to a cable reel comprising: a tubular main body extending along a longitudinal axis (L), comprising a plurality of tubular sections successively arranged side by side along the longitudinal axis (L) and releasably interconnected one to another; a first flange positioned at a first end of the main body, releasably connected to a first tubular section of the plurality of tubular sections; a second flange positioned at a second end of the main body, releasably connected to a last tubular section of the plurality of tubular sections, wherein each tubular section comprises at least two arcuate sections releasably interconnected in circumferential direction.
Method and apparatus for winding a cable
A cable winding apparatus mounted on an arm of an excavator. The cable winding apparatus comprises a housing, a hydraulic motor disposed within the housing where a portion of the hydraulic motor extends through the second wall of the housing, a drive shaft extending through the housing that is connected to the motor, and a collapsible power reel. The collapsible power reel comprises a plurality of segments movably coupled to the collapsible power reel and extending radially from the collapsible power reel. The plurality of segments can engage a cable and enable the cable to be wound around the collapsible power reel as the hydraulic motor rotates the collapsible power reel. The plurality of segments are configured to collapse in an axial direction, thereby enabling the wound cable to be easily removed from the apparatus.
Method for winding a cable onto a cable reel
A method for winding a cable (12) onto a cable reel (22) includes providing a cable reel (22) having a drum (24) arranged between two end flanges (28, 30). The drum (24) has a longitudinal axis (26), and the cable is placed (12) on the drum (24) to form a plurality of continuous helical windings (32) on the drum (24). Consecutive windings (32) are directly adjacent to each other, where main bending axes (34) of the continuous helical windings (32) and the longitudinal axis (26) of the drum (24) enclose an offset angle () greater than zero.
Spool for preventing tipping of the spool during payout of cable
A spool includes a receiving portion configured to receive a coil of cable and a first retaining portion and a second retaining portion configured to retain the coil of cable on the receiving portion. A portion of an outer peripheral surface of the first retaining portion and a portion of an outer peripheral surface of the second retaining portion are configured to engage a ground surface. The first retaining portion includes first support portions configured to extend beyond the outer peripheral surface of the first retaining portion to engage the ground surface across a greater distance than the outer peripheral surface of the first retaining portion, and the second retaining portion includes second support portions configured to extend beyond the outer peripheral surface of the second retaining portion to engage the ground surface across a greater distance than the outer peripheral surface of the second retaining portion.
