Skylight with manual closing feature
A skylight or roof hatch that is manually opened and closed. The skylight is formed of a window mounted to a casing frame by way of one or more hinges which allows the window to open and close. One more gas springs mounted between the window and the casing frame are configured to exert a force against the inside of the window. The gas springs are used to urge the window into an open position. Once in the open position, the window is closed by overcoming the force exerted by the gas springs. This is achieved by winding in a cable that is connected to the window. A single pulley wheel is part of a control unit which is utilized to spool in the cable connected to the window in order to close the window and to unlock a reel lock to allow for automatic opening of the window.
Underground mining machine
A system for managing an underground mining machine is disclosed. The system may include a reel-in switch located in an operator station configured to generate plurality of reel-in signals, and a reel-out switch located in the operator station configured to generate a reel-out signal. The system may additionally include an electronic controller in electrical communication with the reel-in switch and the reel-out switch. The electronic controller may be configured to receive the plurality of reel-in signals from the reel-in switch and enter into two or more reeling-in modes in response to the plurality of reel-in signals.
Retractable trailer electrical connection system
A Retractable Electrical Trailer Connection System comprising a retractable reel assembly removably mounted to a trailer; an electrical cable, further comprising a first end and a second end; an electrical connector electrically coupled to the electrical cable second end; a guide aperture extending outwardly from the retractable reel assembly, and a stop mechanism removably attached to the electrical cable between the guide aperture and the electrical connector. The electrical cable first end is electrically coupled to the trailer and is wound about a center spool of the retractable reel assembly where the electrical cable second end extends outwardly through the guide aperture. The electrical connector is configured to electrically couple the electrical cable to a standard receptacle located on a rear side of a tow vehicle. The stop mechanism is preferably structured to move along the electrical cable and lock into place.
Hose assembly
A hose storage device including an open cylindrical core having an outer circumference and an inner circumference, the inner circumference including an inner track, a first wall and a second wall coupled to the open cylindrical core, the outer circumference of the open cylindrical core, the first wall, and the second wall defining a hose storage portion configured to receive a hose, a rotating ring operatively coupled to the inner track, and a handle pivotably coupled to the second wall, the handle configured to pivot between an operative position and a storage position.
MAST SYSTEMS FOR AUTONOMOUS MOBILE ROBOTS
A protractible and retractable mast system for an autonomous mobile robot includes an elongate flexible member including a first lateral end and a second lateral end, and a fastener having a first portion extending along a length of the first lateral end and a second portion extending along a length of the second lateral end. The flexible member is configured to be at least partially coiled within a body of the robot, and a portion of the flexible member is vertically movable away from the body when the flexible member is being uncoiled. The fastener is configured to connect the first lateral end to the second lateral end when the flexible member is being uncoiled, and disconnect the first lateral end from the second lateral end when the flexible member is being coiled.
Tether Guide with Two-Sided Open Tether Channel
A tether guide system operable through a wide range of tether/fleeting angles while causing minimal wear to the tether. The tether guide system may include a series of rollers arranged in a curved path. Also disclosed are tether guides with a sliding belt, a guide surface, or a guide wheel, all for use in the disclosed tether guide system.
Method and apparatus for applying liquid nutrients between parallel rows of standing crops
Liquid nutrients are continuously applied to rows of standing crops by pulling a drag hose from a reel located at one end of a field and between two crop rows with a boom having a forward end pivotally connected to an applicator mounted on a tractor and a rearward end supported by a wheel. The boom carries a supply line having a rearward end connected to the drag hose and a forward end connector to the applicator having the same length as the boom. At the opposite end of the field, the tractor and applicator turn 180 while the boom passes over the applicator. The tractor returns down a second plurality of rows back to the first end of the field while the reel simultaneously retracts the hose between the two rows of crops. The reel is moved to a third plurality of rows the steps are repeated.
Two-way retractable medical tubing reel
A two-way retractable medical tubing system is described. The system includes a housing, a reel located in the housing and a tube wrapped around the reel. The reel is attached to a track that prevents the tube from kinking. The tube has a proximal end and a distal end and exits the housing at a proximal aperture and a distal aperture. Pulling on either the proximal or distal end of the tube causes the tube to partially unwind from the reel so that a longer segment of the tube is located outside the housing as compared when the system is in the retracted position.
Surveillance apparatus
There is disclosed a surveillance apparatus comprising: a retractable support member the member having a first end and a second end; a housing; a spooling mechanism mounted at the housing, and being rotatable relative to the housing, and being attached to the second end of the retractable support member, the spooling mechanism being: Operable to rotate in a first direction to convert the retractable support member from a coiled condition to an extended condition and thereby pay-out the support member from the housing, Operable to rotate in a second direction opposite to the first to convert the retractable support member from the extended condition to the coiled condition and thereby retract the support member into the housing; A mount attached to the first end of the retractable support member; A surveillance device attached to the mount for receiving environmental signals, a human interface remote from the surveillance device; and an electrical connection operably connecting the surveillance device to the human interface, the electrical connection comprising an electrical rotary joint between the housing and the spooling mechanism, such that the surveillance device may be supported, remote from the human interface by paying out the member.
Monitoring System for Pneumatic Core Shafts and Shaft Adapters
A monitoring system for pneumatic shafts and pneumatic shaft adapters. A sensor assembly is physically joined in operative engagement with the bladders of pneumatic shafts and adapters. Sensed data is wirelessly transmitted to a remote receiver for processing and display.
