A blocking feature blocks the unrolling of the leash. A transmission is coupled to the leash roller and brings about blocking when a predetermined leash length is unrolled from leash roller. A simple configuration with high operating reliability and low wear is provided with the transmission having a first transmission element arranged rotatably on the carrier and a second transmission element arranged nonrotatably on the carrier. The first transmission element and the second transmission element have an outer circumference and an inner circumference associated with one another, which mesh with one another at least in an active state.

RETRACTABLE VACUUM HOSE REEL ASSEMBLY
20180319621 · 2018-11-08 ·

A vacuum hose reel assembly has a spiral torsion spring. One end portion of the spiral torsion spring is received in a slot defined by a spring holder. As a vacuum hose is unwound from the reel, the spring is wound as the reel turns in a first direction. To wind the vacuum hose back on the reel, the spring unwinds and turns the reel in a second, opposite, direction. In the event that the forces between the end portion of the spring and the spring holder become too high, the end portion of the spring disengages the spring holder such that the end portion of the spring turns about the spring holder, thereby preventing the spring from breaking.

RETRACTABLE TUBING DEVICE
20180318542 · 2018-11-08 ·

A retractable tubing device for supplying oxygen to a user includes a housing. A cylinder is positioned in and rotationally coupled to the housing. The cylinder extends between a first side and a second side of the housing to define a chamber. A nozzle is coupled to the housing and is fluidically coupled to the chamber. The nozzle is configured to couple to tubing that is fluidically coupled to an oxygen supplying interface. A tube, which is flexible, has a first end that is fluidically coupled to the cylinder. The tube extends through an opening positioned in the housing. The tube is biased to a retracted configuration wherein the tube is coiledly positioned around the cylinder. The cylinder is positioned to rotate relative to the housing. The tube is selectively and reversibly extensible from the housing so that the tube is configured to couple to a source of oxygen.

String Dispensing Assembly For Use In Connection With Ceiling Installation
20180319620 · 2018-11-08 ·

A string dispensing assembly is provided comprising a housing having opposed first and second housing ends that define first and second housing openings that lead to a housing interior in which a string supply is stored. A first engagement support member extends outwardly from the housing and has opposed convex and concave sides that extend to an engagement tab. The engagement tab is folded in on itself in such a way that the engagement tab faces the concave side of the first support member. End and feed caps close the second and first openings and a string from the string supply extends through the first housing opening and abuts the housing and feed cap. The engagement tab is adapted to be secured to a main runner folded portion of a first wall angle thus securing the housing, and the string is for aligning and squaring purposes.

Fiber unwinding system and methods of unwinding a fiber from a bobbin

Unwinding systems and methods are provided for unwinding a fiber from a bobbin. The unwinding system can include an axle defining a first axis extending an axial direction, a bobbin rotatably mounted around the axle, a pulley positioned to receive the fiber from the bobbin, wherein the pulley is rotatable around a second axis, and a sensor positioned between the bobbin and the pulley. The bobbin is moveable along the axial direction, and wherein the fiber extends tangentially from a surface of the bobbin.

Reel handler

A reel handler system includes a first arm and a second arm. A first member is coupled to the first arm and a second member is coupled to the second arm. A sleeve has the members movably positioned therein. A first bracket has a first link coupled to the first arm and a second link coupled to the sleeve. The links are pivotable relative to one another. A second bracket has a third link coupled to the second arm and a fourth link coupled to the sleeve. The third and fourth links are pivotable relative to one another. The brackets are movable to increase and decrease a distance between the arms from a first configuration in which the first and third links are spaced a first distance apart from the sleeve and a second configuration in which the first and third links are spaced a second distance apart from the sleeve.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR HANDLING A HOSE SUPPLY
20180311521 · 2018-11-01 · ·

Disclosed is a method for extinguishing a fire, comprising the following steps: a dimensionally stable hose and a reel comprising a central water connection that is rotatable relative to the reel are provided, the hose being wound on the reel; the dimensionally stable hose is designed in such a way as to have a second connection; furthermore, a transport device is provided in which the reel is rotatably mounted in order for the hose to be unwound; the hose is connected to the water supply conduit; the hose is unwound from the reel only by the length required to reach and extinguish the fire. The disclosed method dispenses with the time-consuming installing of hoses in bays and eliminates the associated risk of tripping over the hose. In the disclosed method, the wound dimensionally stable hose forms the hose supply. Moreover, the system can be filled with water and pressurized without any preparation at any time. The hose supply can remain in the bag. Also disclosed is a corresponding device, which can additionally be used as a rescue device.

Work machine for dragline bucket operation

A work machine, in particular a cable-operated excavator, for dragline bucket operation, a dragline bucket taken up by a hoist rope, wherein the attachment can be retracted by at least one dragline for carrying out the dragging movement and a dragline guide for guiding the dragline is arranged at the work machine, wherein the dragline guide is designed as movable, in particular as linearly movable.

LARGE DIAMETER LAY-FLAT HOSE SPOOL APPARATUS AND METHOD
20180305172 · 2018-10-25 · ·

A large diameter lay-flat hose spool apparatus has a mobile platform with a chassis and wheels. Side supports extend up from the chassis. An axle bears on the side supports, spanning a gap therebetween. Plural spools are rotatably mounted on the axle. Each spool has at least one rim and a length of lay-flat hose wound thereon. A driver rotates the individual spools about the axle independently of the other spools. The driver has a first actuator that moves a drive wheel into and out of contact with a rim of one of the spools. The driver has a second actuator that moves the drive wheel from one of the spool rims to another of the spool rims. A motor rotates the drive wheel. A controller system operated the motor, the first actuator and the second actuator.

Cable drum transportation and handling apparatus

A cable drum transportation and handling apparatus for mounting, transporting and handling large cable drums includes a supporting structure, which supporting structure may be mounted on a truck or trailer. The apparatus includes stabilizers mounted to the supporting structure, a hydraulics control system and an operator station, a gravity drive having a drive wheel tire for turning the drum to spool cable in or out, and a hydraulic drive system for the gravity drive. An adjustable mechanism ensures firm connection between the tire and a cable drum, when a drum is mounted on the apparatus. A lever arm or bolt pattern puts more or less tension on the gravity drive, for engagement, by moving the drive up and down. Opposing hydraulically-operated lift arms pivotally mounted on an upper part of the supporting structure may be pivoted outwardly and rearwardly. The lift arms laterally close to grasp the drum. Mounts on the end of each arm have a center pin that inserts into the center axis of the drum and a pair of engagement pins that are inserted between the spokes of the drum to assist in holding the drum in place. The apparatus may also include a mounting bracket for a banding cart to hold banding for the cabling.
