Continuous rod transport system

A transport system has a dedicated trailer for transporting a small transport reel (i.e., <18-ft in diameter) of continuous rod to the field. The trailer has a pedestal that can pivot the reel. A hub motor on the pedestal can turn the reel, and a transfer unit and rod bender on the trailer can curve or straighten the rod when being fed into or out of the reel. A power and hydraulic system operates the various hydraulic components on the trailer. In other aspects, the transport system includes stands that can hold the small transport reels on a trailer within a defined transport envelope. When empty, these stands can be stacked on top of one another on the trailer for return to a facility.

Spooling cable

A method includes mounting a spool system at a floor level of a multiple dwelling unit. The floor level has multiple customer units. The spool system includes at least one spool of fiber optic cable. Each end of each fiber optic cable has a spliced-on connector. The method further includes paying out a length of fiber optic cable from the at least one spool to reach a customer unit of the floor level, connecting one of the connectors of the paid-out fiber optic cable to a floor splitter, and connecting the floor splitter to a distribution splitter of the multiple dwelling unit.

Hose storage system

In order to keep hose for oxygen delivery off of the floor and thus make use of the oxygen delivery system safer, a storage system for storing the hose includes a support structure, a first pulley assembly, and a second pulley assembly below the first pulley assembly. At least a part of the first pulley assembly is translationally fixed relative to the support structure, and the second pulley assembly is translationally movable relative to the first pulley assembly, along the support structure. The hose is wrapped around pulleys of the first pulley assembly and pulleys of the second pulley assembly, and the amount of hose stored in the storage system is dependent on a position of the second pulley assembly relative to the first pulley assembly.

The device also includes first and second forks each having a base mountable to the rigid member and a plurality of tines supported on the base. The first fork and the second fork are further defined as both being removably engaged with the rigid member. The plurality of tines of the first fork include at least one tine mounted for pivoting movement about a pivot axis extending transverse to the central axis and this tine is larger than the other tines of the first fork.

Rope storage system

A rope storage system includes a boat that has at least one cleat coupled to the boat. A retracting unit is removably coupled to the at least one cleat. A rope is releasably contained within the retracting unit. The rope is selectively urged outwardly from the retracting unit and the rope may secure the boat to a restraint. The rope is biased into the retracting unit such that the rope is stored within the retracting unit. Thus, the retracting unit reduces a tripping hazard with respect to the rope. A cleat lock is movably coupled to the retracting unit. The cleat lock releasably engages the at least one cleat such that the retracting unit is removably retained on the at least one cleat.

Kite Line Reeling Device

This invention concerns a line reeling device for reeling front and back lines of a kite. The device includes a reeling mechanism comprising a first reel and a second reel which are located in an enclosure and on which the front and back lines are, in use, wound respectively. The reels are arranged so that their rotation in one direction retracts the lines and their rotation in the other direction deploys the lines. The reeling mechanism further includes reel connecting means which is operable to cause the reels to rotate in harmony in one configuration and rotate independently in another configuration. The reeling mechanism also has a braking mechanism for controlling rotation of the reels and a control mechanism which is in connection with the braking mechanism. The control mechanism is operable between a first, locked position wherein rotation of the reels is obstructed and a second, released position wherein rotation of the reels is allowed.

The drum assembly includes a hollow cylindrical shell, a bottom plate fastened to the shell, a high pressure fluid supply connection and a manifold positioned radially along a bottom plate of the shell for connection to one end of each of a plurality of flexible lance hoses. The base includes an L shaped support arm extending from the bases alongside the shell. A plurality of guide tubes are supported by the support arm and aligned over a rim of the shell for guiding flexible lance hoses into and out of the take-up drum assembly.

The string coiling unit includes a casing receiving a vortex spring device and two reels operably connected to the vortex spring device. Two axles are mounted in the casing. A guiding wheel is mounted around each axle, is shorter than the axle, and includes an annular first groove for receiving one of the driving strings. Each driving strings is wound around a deflecting portion of one of two string guiding mechanisms before extending through the shade unit in the vertical direction, such that drag and hindrance to portions of the two driving strings extending in the horizontal direction caused by the weight of the shade unit are interrupted to reduce deviation of the two driving strings wound around the two reels.
