System and method for long cable management and plug protection system
A cable management system for a cable in a dock capable of physical connection with an information handling system. The cable management system is configured such that rotation of a bottom cover in a first direction engages a gear and rotates a plurality of gears to extend the cable from the dock and rotation of the bottom cover in an opposite direction disengages one or more of the gears, wherein rotation of the bottom cover retracts the cable and friction forces apply tension to the cable to prevent the cable from tangling during retraction. A plug protection system covers the plug when the cable is retracted to protect the plug and uncovers the plug to allow extension of the cable for physically connection of the plug into a port in an information handling system.
REEL UNWINDING AND WINDING CONTROL
An electrical cord reel assembly can include a spool configured to wind and unwind an electrical cord therefrom. The electrical cord reel assembly can include a motor configured to rotate the spool to wind and unwind the electrical cord about the spool. The electrical cord reel assembly can include a controller in electrical communication with the motor and the electrical cord. The controller can be configured to, in response to an unwind command, place or maintain the electrical cord in a power off state. The controller can be configured to in response to the unwind command, transmit an unwind signal to the motor to cause the motor to unwind the electrical cord from the spool. The controller can be configured to automatically place the electrical cord in a power on state based at least in part on an amount of rotation of the spool during the unwinding.
Compact motorized tensioning device for footwear
A tensioning system for articles of footwear and articles of apparel is disclosed. The tensioning system includes a spool system that can be engaged or disengaged from a driveshaft through the use of a cam device. The motorized tensioning device includes a torque transmitting system that allows for incremental tightening, incremental loosening and full loosening of the tensile element.
Expandable coil deployment system for drum assembly and method of using same
A coil deployment system and one or more methods of manipulating a coil deployment system, is provided. The coil deployment system has a trailer frame of one or more frame components including a pair of support brackets, a first pair of lower support arms, a second pair of lower support arms, a first pair of upper support arms, and a second pair of upper support arms. The trailer frame is adjustable such that the width and height of the trailer can be adjusted to manipulate and accommodate various sizes of coil drums of spoolable pipe deploy, collect, transport or store the spoolable pipe.
Retractable leash for rolling up and unrolling a leash
A retractable leash device (10, 53) for rolling up and unrolling a leash (13), especially for leading an animal, includes a leash roller (22) mounted rotatably on a carrier and a resetting device to reset the leash into a rolled-up position, in which the leash is wound up onto a leash roller. A blocking feature blocks the unrolling of the leash. A transmission is coupled to the leash roller and brings about blocking when a predetermined leash length is unrolled from leash roller. A simple configuration with high operating reliability and low wear is provided with the transmission having a first transmission element arranged rotatably on the carrier and a second transmission element arranged nonrotatably on the carrier. The first transmission element and the second transmission element have an outer circumference and an inner circumference associated with one another, which mesh with one another at least in an active state.
Combination Capillary and Cable Spooling System
A combination capillary and cable spooling system for efficiently unspooling or spooling capillary and cable with respect to a workover rig. The combination capillary and cable spooling system generally includes a motorized vehicle having a platform, a first spool support attached to the upper surface of the platform adapted to rotatably support a first spool having a capillary line, a first motor attached to the first spool support to rotate the first spool, a second spool support attached to the upper surface of the platform to rotatably support a second spool having a cable line, and a second motor attached to the second spool support to rotate the second spool.
Pet leash preventing locking due to jerk
A pet leash preventing locking due to jerk includes a housing provided with a handle and a reel disk arranged in the housing. The reel disk is rotatably connected to the housing. A leash rope is wound on the reel disk. One end of the leash rope penetrates through the housing. The housing is provided with a rotary damper. A clutch structure is provided between the reel disk and the rotary damper, and is actuable under a centrifugal force to connect the reel disk to the rotary damper when a rotation speed of the reel disk exceeds a predetermined rotation speed.
Mobile coiled tubing drilling apparatus
A mobile, coiled tubing drilling apparatus includes a non-rotating mast on a mobile platform. The mast has mounted thereon an injector, a coiled tubing reel having a tubing pay-off point associated therewith, and a tubing control system. The tubing control system is located between the reel and the injector, and includes a tubing abutment adjacent the tubing pay-off point for applying an opposite bend to the tubing during pay-out of the tubing. The reel is mounted for horizontal (x,y) movement such that, during pay-out of the tubing, the tubing pay-off point can be maintained generally above the injector, and can also be moved towards or away from the tubing abutment.
Handheld portable power hose roller
A portable hose winding machine includes a power head including a motor in a motor housing, with the motor having an output shaft and a bar coupled to the motor housing. The bar further includes an aperture or other fixtures such as a fairlead through which a hose is guided while being spooled up on a driven shaft. Spooling is driven by a rod axially parallel to and radially spaced apart from a driven spool shaft, and a protective plate shields the user's hands from errant spinning hose end fixtures.
Reel with power advance repositionable level wind
In a reel assembly, a repositionable level wind may be selectively coupled to a drum to enable powered rotation of the level wind from a first position to a second position. In some embodiments, the assembly may include two arced guide rails, a rotating adjustment arm, a roller bracket, a winding assembly and two fork plates, which may be adjustably mounted on the drum. In operation, the fork plates may be moved to an engaged position that couples the adjustment arm and the roller bracket to the reel flanges so that rotation of the reel causes the winding assembly to be rotated along the guide rails. Once a desired position is reached, the adjustment arm and roller bracket may be bolted to the guide rails and the fork plates may be moved to a disengaged position to allow the reel to rotate independently of the winding assembly.
