A retractor device includes a housing including a back plate, a faceplate spaced apart from the back plate, and a sidewall extending between the back plate and the faceplate. The retractor device also includes a rotatable reel inside the housing, a spring biasing rotation of the rotatable reel in one direction, a tether wound around the rotatable reel, and an end fitting coupled to an end of the tether. A retainer of the housing is in contact with the end fitting when the end fitting is in the retracted position. The retractor device also includes at least one bearing inside the housing proximate to the retainer, and first and second extension openings in the sidewall of the housing on opposite sides of the retainer. The tether is configured to engage the bearing when the tether is extended through one of the first and second extension openings.

An apparatus for storing and directing a guidewire used to guide an instrument is provided and includes a spool. The spool receives the guidewire and a spool wire. Rotation of the spool in a first direction retracts the guidewire and the spool wire around the spool. The apparatus also includes a wire connector that operatively couples the spool wire and the guidewire together. The apparatus further includes a housing that houses the spool. The housing includes first and second apertures. The first aperture is sized to prevent the wire connector from passing through the first aperture but allow the guidewire and the spool wire to pass through the first aperture. The second aperture is sized to allow the wire connector and the guidewire and the spool wire to pass through the second aperture. The first and second apertures merge together such that the guidewire and the spool wire may move between the first and second apertures.

A retractable leash with integrated locking system includes a main body having a plurality of sides that define an interior space. An elongated leash cord extends through an aperture in the main body and is connected to a retractable mechanism that is positioned within the main body. A locking handle assembly is connected to the main body and transitions between an open position and a closed position. The handle assembly includes a fixed section and a movable section that is hingedly secured to the main body. An electronic lock is positioned within the handle assembly and is selectively activated by a biometric sensor. A location module is positioned within the main body, and a light and charging port are positioned along the main body.

A hose-used hose-reeling apparatus includes a base, a reel, a conduit assembly and a communication element. The reel is supported on the base. The conduit assembly includes a conduit and a shackle. The conduit extends in the base and includes a horizontal tube and a vertical tube. The horizontal tube includes an insertion section and an abutment section. The insertion section includes at least one hook inserted in a slot in the base. The abutment section includes an end for abutment against a supporting element. The vertical tube extends in a peripheral aperture of the base from the insertion section. The shackle is movable between a releasing position disengaged from the insertion section and a locking position engaged with the insertion section. The communication element extends in the reel and covers a peripheral aperture in the insertion section as the reel is supported on the base.

A strap feeding device includes first driving and driven rollers, second driving and driven rollers, an actuating unit, and a detecting unit. The actuating unit can move the second driving roller between a released position, where the second driven roller is spaced apart from the second driving roller, and a contact, where the second driven roller contacts the second driving roller and is co-rotatable with the second driving roller to clamp and move a strap. The control device controls rotation of the first and second driving rollers to feed and return the strap, detects rotation of the first driven roller, and controls the actuating unit to move the second driven roller to the contact and released positions.

An electrical cord storage device is adapted to be affixed to an electrical appliance. The device includes a base having a first surface shaped to substantially conform to and adapted to be affixed to a surface of an electrical appliance and a second surface opposed to the first surface. The device also includes a post having a first end affixed to the base and extending from the second surface of the base to a second end to form a cord-wrapping structure adapted to receive an electrical cord of the electrical appliance wound thereon. The device further includes a dome affixed to the second end of the post, extending radially away from the post, and curving toward an imaginary plane substantially normal to the post located at the first end of the post. The electrical system between the battery and the tarp motor uses a significant amount of heavy cabling to deliver the power required. Disclosed are electrical systems to reduce the amount of wire necessary by employing the vehicle body for the electrical ground; momentarily configuring the battery bank to raise the voltage; and a control system to simplify the user interface.

An intelligent cable storage drum system for use in a pipe inspection system is disclosed. The system may include a cable storage drum, a video push-cable removably disposed on the cable storage drum, the video push-cable having a proximal end and a distal end, a video camera head having a camera output for providing analog or digital images or video output signals, and a transceiver module operatively coupled to the camera output for receiving the analog or digital images or video output signals and sending the received signals to a remote receiver.

The present invention relates to a handheld (i.e. single-handedly held) tool for automatically winding string, line, cordage, yarn, thread, and twine onto a spool. The tool includes a handheld and portable threaded mechanism upon which a spool is mounted. Spools of various lengths can be mounted onto the threaded mechanism using a height-adjustable cap. An internal motor is configured to rotate the threaded mechanism and mounted spool for automatically winding string, et. al. A handle of the tool houses rechargeable batteries that are coupled with the internal motor and a push button disposed on the handle activates the motor for rotating the threaded mechanism. The tool includes a USB charging port for receiving a USB cable for recharging the rechargeable batteries.

In accordance with at least one aspect of this disclosure, a retractable hose reel system includes a reel configured to rotate about a shaft, a fluid driven motor configured to drive the reel, a fluid connector configured to connect to a fluid source to power the fluid motor, and a fluid line connecting between the fluid connector and the fluid motor to supply fluid from the fluid source to the fluid motor to power the fluid motor. A valve is disposed in the fluid line, configured to move between an open position and a closed position, where in the open position the valve allows fluid flow to the fluid motor and in the closed position the valve prevents fluid flow to the fluid motor.
