Motorized flat web winder
10414624 · 2019-09-17 ·

A motorized flat web winder has a revolving work holder and a source of drive for turning the revolving work holder. The revolving work holder presents a generally planar support surface. The source of drive turns the revolving work holder about a turning axis. The generally planar support surface cuts the turning axis more or less perpendicularly. The generally planar support surface has a spaced pair of keeper pins extending out from an affixed butt end to a spaced tip end. Preferably, the keeper pins are off-center relative the turning but orbit about the turning axis in a near orbit. More preferably still, the keeper pins orbit the turning axis by a measure which makes either of the brass coupling ends of a fire hose the center of a spiral coil formed therefrom.

Technology is provided for a cable management spool assembly. The cable management spool assembly includes a spool and one or more arcuate covers. The spool includes a flange portion having a first side configured to confront a mounting surface and a second side opposite the first side. A drum portion extends from the second side of the flange portion and one or more latches extend away from the first side of the flange portion. The latches are positioned to engage one or more corresponding mounting features of the mounting surface. The arcuate covers are coupled to the spool and are pivotable between an open position where a cable may be wound on the drum portion and a closed position where the cable is retained on the drum portion.

GUIDEWIRE MANAGEMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD

An apparatus for storing and directing a guidewire used to guide an instrument is provided and includes a spool. The spool receives the guidewire and a spool wire. Rotation of the spool in a first direction retracts the guidewire and the spool wire around the spool. The apparatus also includes a wire connector that operatively couples the spool wire and the guidewire together. The apparatus further includes a housing that houses the spool. The housing includes first and second apertures. The first aperture is sized to prevent the wire connector from passing through the first aperture but allow the guidewire and the spool wire to pass through the first aperture. The second aperture is sized to allow the wire connector and the guidewire and the spool wire to pass through the second aperture. The first and second apertures merge together such that the guidewire and the spool wire may move between the first and second apertures.

A retractor device includes a housing including a back plate, a faceplate spaced apart from the back plate, and a sidewall extending between the back plate and the faceplate. The retractor device also includes a rotatable reel inside the housing, a spring biasing rotation of the rotatable reel in one direction, a tether wound around the rotatable reel, and an end fitting coupled to an end of the tether. A retainer of the housing is in contact with the end fitting when the end fitting is in the retracted position. The retractor device also includes at least one bearing inside the housing proximate to the retainer, and first and second extension openings in the sidewall of the housing on opposite sides of the retainer. The tether is configured to engage the bearing when the tether is extended through one of the first and second extension openings.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HANDLING REEL OF PIPE

A system includes a frame and a first pair of rollers coupled to a first side of the frame. The first pair of rollers is configured to support a first end of a pipe reel. The system also includes a first cradle disposed longitudinally between the first pair of rollers and a second pair of rollers coupled to a second side of the frame. The second pair of rollers is configured to support a second end of a pipe reel. The system also includes a second cradle disposed longitudinally between the second pair of rollers, a pipe guide coupled to a third side of the frame between the first and second sides, a pipe brake coupled to the frame, and a pipe re-spooler coupled to the frame.

ATTACHMENT STRUCTURE FOR CORD REEL, AND APPARATUS INCLUDING CORD REEL AND HOLDER

A first engaging part is located on an outer surface of a cord reel and protrudes in a first direction orthogonal to a rotation axis of the cord reel. A second engaging part is located on the outer surface of the cord reel at a position different from the first engaging part in a second direction along the rotation axis. A holder base has an opening through which the cord reel can be inserted in the second direction. One or more notches are formed along the outer periphery of the opening of the holder base and allows the first engaging part to pass therethrough in the second direction. When the cord reel is attached to the holder, the holder base is disposed between the first engaging part and the second engaging part in the second direction.

Running-end spool containment device and system

Running-end spool containment devices and systems are described herein that allow a user to secure a running-end of a strap within a lockable device to anchor the running-end of the strap at a selectable length when the device is in a locked mode, and to enable the running-end of the strap be lengthened or shortened when the device is in an unlocked mode. In an embodiment, the device includes an axel about which the running-end of a strap can be wound and unwound, a lock case that can engage the axel to prevent axel rotation in the locked mode and that can be disengaged from the axel to allow the axel to rotate freely in the unlocked mode, and a spring case that causes the axel to rotate and the running-end of the strap to wind around the axel when the lock cases is in the unlocked mode.

CORD REEL DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE

The pin extends between the outer peripheral surface and the inner peripheral surface of the reel body, with one end thereof on the outer peripheral surface side being connected with the reel cord. The support column is disposed inside the reel body. The ring is at least partially embedded in the support and disposed so as to be in constant contact with another end of the pin on the inner peripheral surface side.

Rectractable oxygen supply-hose reel and mechanism housing cover for medical oxygen therapy devises and medical oxygen treatment devises

This invention modifies and redesigns a spring-loaded, retractable supply hose mechanisms used to pan out, retract, and store hoses used for gases (e.g., oxygen), treatments, or fluids, specifically this inventor's prior art, the Retractable Oxygen Supply Hose Mechanism, U.S. Pat. No. 6,065,490. This invention incorporates an Adaptor Cap or Removable Cap to prevent slippage of the Swivel connector, incorporates a Removable Cap into the upper disc or flange of the supply-hose reel and/or into the mechanism housing cover that acts as an anti-rotational device, and features bearing surfaces to prevent reel slippage. This internal ratchet system better prevents binding and kinking of the patient's supply, thereby facilitating the storage and the quick-controlled release of the desired amount of oxygen supply hose for patient's Medical Oxygen and other gases delivery, therapy, or treatments.
