Assembly for dispensing sheeting from a roll
An assembly for dispensing sheeting from a roll comprises a main tube with a lower support extending from the main tube and configured to support the roll, and with an upper support extending from the main tube at a distance from the lower support. The lower support and the upper support secure opposite ends of the roll, such that the roll can rotate while sheeting is dispensed from the roll. In some embodiments, the assembly further includes one or more arms pivotally connected to the main tube and configured to partially enclose the roll and/or a securing member (or rod) configured to engage the roll along its length. In some embodiments, the assembly further includes a connection tube pivotally connected to the main tube and configured to removably attach the assembly to a vehicle.
Temporary Barrier System
A temporary barrier system that is configured to be placed adjacent a concrete divider on a roadway wherein the temporary barrier system provides an increased vertical barrier so as to inhibit seeing therepast. The temporary barrier system includes a storage container having the body of the present invention stored in its first position therein. The body of the present invention is planar in manner and stored in a rolled position in the storage container. The body is wrapped around a winding apparatus and includes an end that is configured to be secured to a deployment vehicle. The deployment vehicle traverses away from the storage container to deploy the body to its second position. The body further includes a plurality of support members being configured to be perpendicular to the upper and lower edge. The storage container is configured as a towable trailer.
PAPER DISPENSER FOR ARTICLE OF JEWELRY
An article of jewelry includes a housing divided into upper and lower portions. The housing can be moveable between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The housing can include therein a post on which a reel assembly including a paper roll can be assembled. One end of the paper roll can be extended through a nonlinear paper slot in an outer wall of the housing. The paper roll can include a plurality of printed messages, stickers, or other designs thereon. The nonlinear paper slot can provide tension to maintain the end of the paper roll within the nonlinear paper slot to facilitate tearing off the end of the paper roll.
Systems for unwinding a roll of thermoplastic material interleaved with a porous material, and related methods
An apparatus (un-interleaver) for unwinding a roll of material interleaved with another material, and for separating the materials, includes a first platform, a second platform, a tension-sensor, an edge-sensor, and a controller. The controller monitors signals generated by the tension sensor and the edge sensor, and in response to the signals: a) causes the speed at which the second platform rotates to change to maintain a predetermined tension in the second material as the second material travels from the first platform toward the second platform, and b) causes the second platform to move relative to the first platform to align the edge of the second material traveling toward the roll of second material with the edge of the second material in the roll.
Method for stocking battery separator roll, method for producing same, method for carrying same, and carrier for same
A wagon (90b) includes a plurality of horizontal support bars (91f). A separator roll (12b) is stocked while the horizontal support bar is inserted into a core of the separator roll (12b) around which core a separator is rolled. This can prevent deformation and roll misalignment of the stocked separator roll.
Line for the production of spools of web material
The line comprises: an unwinding section (3) for unwinding parent reels (Ba, Bb, Bm) of web material (Na, Nb), with at least a first unwinding station (5; 7); at least a winding station (15) downstream of the unwinding section (3); a feed path from the unwinding section (3) toward the winding station (15); The unwinding section (3) is associated with a loading arrangement of the parent reels (Bm), which comprises: an upender (253; 306) configured to upend the parent reels (Bm) positioning them with their axis horizontal; and a loading robot (263; 313), configured to position a parent reel (Bm; Ba, Bb) on an unwinding mandrel (9) of the unwinding section (3).
Systems and methods for HDSS roll packaging
A skid assembly including a skid having a stacking surface and four gum rolls is provided. The gum rolls include a first gum roll positioned on the stacking surface and a second gum roll positioned on the stacking surface and abutting the first gum roll. The first and second gum rolls cooperate to define a first skid layer. The gum rolls further include third and fourth gum rolls each positioned on one of the first or second gum rolls. The fourth gum roll abuts the third gum roll, and the third and fourth gum rolls both cooperate to form a second skid layer. The gum rolls are formed of a strip stock wound onto a core fixture. The strip stock is coated to prevent the strip stock from adhering to itself while being wound into the gum roll.
FILM FREE END CONTROL APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR A STRETCH WRAPPING MACHINE
An apparatus and method for stretch wrapping of a palletized load uses film tension feedback derived from a film tension control load cell to control film dispensation. The load cell measures film tension and the film payout rates is determined by the film tension. Film tension values are used to determine when an out of bounds condition occurs, namely, when a film break has occurred, or when a possible film break is about to occur or when the film has been cut at the end of a wrapping cycle. To prevent film free end entanglement caused by a break, clamps engage the film so the film tail is controlled, eliminating the risk of recoil. The broken film tail may then be quickly and reliably reattached to the rotating load in a desired position.
Vertical wall webbing installation method and system
A system and method of installation for installing a rolled sheet material on a vertical or near-vertical surface are described. Specifically the system and method of installation are useful in the construction industry where heavy rolls of sheet materials must be precisely installed on walls and other vertical surfaces that can be several stories high. The system includes a rolled material spool holder with mounting hardware to allow mounting of the spool holder to a piece of construction equipment along with a spool director, which is also mounted to the piece of movable construction equipment, such as a scissor lift. The method of installation involves positioning the scissor lift along the wall in the desired start location and the desired starting height. The operator affixes the start of the roll to the wall and then drives the scissor lift along the wall, which causes the roll to unwind due to the movement of the scissor lift, while an additional worker affixes the roll to the wall at the desired intervals.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HDSS ROLL PACKAGING
A method of forming a gum roll is provided. The method includes providing a strip stock having a first end, a first surface, and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The first end of the strip stock is coupled to a core fixture so the first surface interfaces with the core fixture. The strip stock is rotated to wind the strip stock onto the core fixture such that the first surface interfaces with the second surface to form the gum roll. The method further includes cutting the strip stock to form the second end when the gum roll is wound to an outer roll diameter, the outer roll diameter being greater than a diameter of the core fixture.
