Bow Fishing Reel with Reduced Friction Payout
A reel suitable for bow fishing and the like provides a cowling covering a reel with a wide opening to reduce frictional restraint on high-speed paying out of the line with the flight of the arrow. An optional guide arm may be used to minimize line diversion and hence friction during line payout while absorbing forces when the line is retracted permitting use of a lighter cowling design without loss of strength. A high torque bevel gear transmission and safety lighting is further provided.
ENCLOSURE FOR AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE IN A FISHING ROD
An enclosure for an electronic device such as a light or bite indicator is provided that may be positioned and located on a butt end of a fishing rod (nearer to the reel). The enclosure includes two securing members that may be threaded to one another or snapped together to form a cavity there between. The first securing member includes a post that engages with the rod, and the post may be permanently attached to the butt end of the fishing rod. The second securing member may be threaded onto or snapped together with the first securing member to form the cavity, and the securing members may be sealed to one another using rubber seals to increase water-tightness of the cavity.
Fish bite indicator
A fish bite indicator utilizes a line retainer coupled to a pivot arm and configured to rotate to bring a pair of electrical contacts into contact with a circuit contact to complete a circuit and activate an indicator light and/or indicator speaker. An indicator speaker may produce a factory set alert sound or a recorded alert sound that a user records to distinguish one fishing pole from another. A user may insert the fishing line a desired amount down into the line wedge seam and the depth of insertion may change when the line is released upon the pivoting of the pivot arm. The fish bite indicator may have a drag knob to change how much line tension is required to move the pivot arm and may have a sensitivity knob that adjusts how far the pivot arm has to rotate before the indicator is activated.
Lure strike indicating assembly
A lure strike indicating assembly for preventing obstruction of rod guides includes an indicator, a filament, and a coupler. The filament is coupled to and extends between the indicator and the coupler. The coupler is configured to slidably couple to a fishing line. A fastener is coupled to the indicator. The fastener is configured to selectively couple to the coupler and the fishing line so that the indicator is fixedly positioned relative to a lure that is coupled to an end of the fishing line. The fastener also is configured to decouple from the coupler and the fishing line in the event of a strike on the lure. The coupler is slidably positionable relative to the lure to prevent the indicator from obstructing a guide on a tip of a fishing rod to which the fishing line is coupled as the fishing line is retracted into a reel.

Ice Fishing Bite Indicator Alert Device
An ice fishing bite indicator alert device for use with a reel having wound fishing line with the device including a housing to be mounted proximate the fishing reel and a movement indicator actuator located on the reel in a position spaced from an axis of rotation of the reel. The housing supports an electrically connected circuit that includes a trigger switch, at least one light source, at least one power source, and an on/off switch, with the trigger switch located within a path of movement of the movement indicator actuator. The electrically connected circuit has an inactivated state and an activated state which are associated with the location of the movement indicator actuator relative to the trigger switch and which control whether the trigger switch enables the power source to provide power to the light. The device also may include a sound source to provide an audible alert.
FISHING ASSEMBLY
A fishing device adapted to be used hands-free and generate an alert when a fish is hooked is ideally suited to be used in confined spaces such as an ice fishing shelter.
Remotely detectable transportable game and fishing alarm system
An alarm system having a portable body carried controller that wireless communicates with multiple remote base units each having a wireless communications system configured for ultralow power mode operation where the communications system is put in sleep mode greater than one half packet transmission time but no greater than preamble transmission time to conserve battery life. Controller has multiple LED-equipped buttons assigned to corresponding base units during pairing which are respectively activated when the corresponding base unit assigned thereto alarms upon occurrence of a sensor detection event. Pressing the button can turn off the LED alarm, can poll the assigned base unit, and can task the assigned base unit including to operate in flashlight mode where base unit is lit up. A preferred base unit has an enclosure with legs that form reversible pedestals upon which base unit can be placed.

Flasher type fish finder
A flasher type fish finder has: a motor with a rotary shaft having play in an axial direction; a display rotating disk fixed to the rotary shaft; a first installation part; and a second installation part fixed to a member not influenced by the play. In the first installation part, a magnet or a ferromagnetic material is on the rotary shaft or the display rotating disk such that the center of gravity is at the rotary shaft center. In the second installation part, a magnet or a ferromagnetic material is provided occurring an attraction force or a repulsive force in the axial direction, for the magnet or the ferromagnetic material of the first installation part. The magnet is in at least one of the first installation part and the second installation part. The surfaces of a first magnetic pole and a second magnetic pole are orthogonal to the rotary shaft.
