FISHING TOOL LOSS MONITORING SYSTEM AND METHOD
According to an embodiment, a fishing tool loss monitoring system comprises at least one buoy providing sensing information and buoy identification information and buoy position information, a fishing vessel terminal device providing fishing vessel information including fishing vessel identification information, fishing vessel position information, the fishing tool identification information, and the buoy position information, and a land control center performing transmitting/receiving information to/from the fishing vessel terminal device or the buoy through a communication network to gather the sensing information including underwater temperature information and overwater temperature information from the buoy during a preset time, measuring a speed of the buoy using the buoy position information when a difference between respective averages of the underwater temperature information and the overwater temperature information falls outside a preset error range.
Bow fishing reel with reduced friction payout
A reel suitable for bow fishing and the like provides a cowling covering a reel with a wide opening to reduce frictional restraint on high-speed paying out of the line with the flight of the arrow. An optional guide arm may be used to minimize line diversion and hence friction during line payout while absorbing forces when the line is retracted permitting use of a lighter cowling design without loss of strength. A high torque bevel gear transmission and safety lighting is further provided.
Fishing assembly
A fishing device adapted to be used hands-free and generate an alert when a fish is hooked is ideally suited to be used in confined spaces such as an ice fishing shelter.
Fishing alarm system
A fishing alarm system for use with a fishing line which moves when disturbed by a fish utilizes an alarm device and two electrical contacts which are moveable toward and away from one another between an initial condition at which a circuit between the alarm device and a power source is made and a spaced-apart condition at which a circuit between the alarm device and the power source is broken. In addition, the contacts are biased from the spaced-apart condition toward the initial condition so that by inserting a section of the fishing line between the two contacts, the contacts are moved away from one another and held at the spaced-apart condition by the fishing line section positioned between the pair of electrical contacts. Upon removal of the fishing line from between the contacts, the contacts are permitted to return toward the initial condition at which a circuit is made between the alarm device and the power source.
INSTANTLY ADJUSTABLE STRIKE INDICATOR CREATED BY FRICTION ASSEMBLY
An adjustable strike indicator apparatus for use in fly fishing is disclosed comprising a rigid center section and friction assembly comprising two layers of friction creating material. The two layers of friction creating material encase a section of leader fishing line. The friction assembly is mechanically coupled to the inside of a housing unit, such as an EVA foam ball, which can be manually repositioned on the section of fishing line by a user.

ROPE RELEASING APPARATUS, FISHING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A FISHING SYSTEM
A harvesting mechanism for a fishing device includes an actuator, a wireless receiver for receiving a wireless signal to control the actuator, and a rope securing mechanism mechanically coupled to the actuator. The rope securing mechanism secures a rope. In response to receiving the wireless signal, the wireless receiver activates the actuator to cause the rope securing mechanism to release the rope.
ANTI-BACKLASH BAIT CAST FISHING REEL
A fishing reel includes a frame, a spool coupled to the frame for rotation about a rotational axis, a light source, a first optic, a sensor, a second optic, a controller, and a braking mechanism. The spool includes a first flange and a second flange. The first optic is positioned such that light emanating from the light source and passing through the first optic generates a substantially collimated band of light parallel with the rotational axis. The second optic is positioned and configured to focus the substantially collimated band of light toward the sensor. The controller is electrically coupled to the sensor and is configured to receive signals from the sensor and to generate a braking signal. The braking mechanism is electrically coupled to the controller, and the braking mechanism applies a braking force to slow the spool in response to the braking signal.
FISHING REEL
A fishing reel includes a spool capable of winding a fishing line, a detector capable of detecting the rotation amount of the spool, a storage that records the rotation amount of the spool as a detection result, and a transmitter that transmits the detection result to the outside, and is configured to select the casting mode when the detection result of the rotation amount of the spool is equal to or greater than a first threshold, and to select the drop mode when the detection result of the rotation amount of the spool is less than the first threshold.
Video fishing system with electrically-conductive fishing line
An electrical transmission line cable suited for a variety of applications, including as a fishing line in a video fishing system. The electrical transmission line cable has a first conductor and a second conductor forming an electrical transmission line; a jacket containing the first conductor and the second conductor; and a transmission line primary dielectric element separating the first conductor and the second conductor, wherein the primary dielectric element is at least one of textile yarns, fiber yarns, or monofilaments. The electrical transmission line may be in a balanced configuration or an unbalanced configuration.
