Printing apparatus, paper supply apparatus, and paper supply method
A printer includes a first housing part, a second housing part, a printing part that prints on the first paper sheet and the second paper sheet, a conveying part that includes a holding part that is configured to hold the overlapping first paper sheet and the second paper sheet respectively pulled out from a first paper roll and a second paper roll, and conveys the first paper sheet out of the first paper sheet and the second paper sheet held by the holding part to the printing part, a first paper sheet sensor that detects the presence of the first paper sheet, and a controlling part that makes the conveying part convey the second paper sheet held by the holding part to the printing part when the first paper sheet sensor detects that there is no first paper sheet to be conveyed to the printing part.
PRINTING APPARATUS, PAPER SUPPLY APPARATUS, AND PAPER SUPPLY METHOD

TRANSPORT PACKAGE FOR A WIDE FORMAT MEDIA ROLL
The present invention provides to a transport package for lifting and positioning a wide format media roll into or out of a printing system, comprising a deformable support body for supporting a bottom side of a media roll in a stabilized manner, a releasable securing member for releasably securing a first end of the support body to an attachment region of the support body, such that the support body forms a substantially closed loop around the media roll, and at least one carrying member provided at a second end of the support body and arranged for engaging lifting means for lifting the media roll. Additionally, a media roll assembly and a method for loading a media roll into a printing system are provided.
Assembly system and method for packaging web material in a roll
Rolling assembly for packaging web material in a roll having a base member with concave arcuate feed surface defining an upwardly-extending ramp, first intermediate member movably coupled to base member, and top member moveably coupled to at least one of base member or first intermediate member, top member having a concave arcuate pressure surface facing feed surface of base member. The base member, first intermediate member and top member collectively forming an iris with a feed space, the iris moveable between a first condition and a second condition, and configured to receive web material along the feed surface and direct the web material upwardly toward the top member to form a roll within the feed space, the iris moving toward a second condition as the roll of web material increases in cross dimension against the pressure surface of the top member.
Printing apparatus
A printing apparatus includes a roll paper compartment 15 having a first placement surface 27 on which an outer peripheral surface Ra of a roll paper R around which a recording paper P is wound is placed and accommodating the roll paper R, a thermal head 67 performing printing on the recording paper P pulled out from the roll paper R accommodated in the roll paper compartment 15, a first projecting/retracting portion 77 provided to be configured to project from or retract into the first placement surface 27, pressed by the roll paper R of which the outer peripheral surface Ra is placed on the first placement surface 27 and retracting into the first placement surface 27 when a diameter of the roll paper R is larger than a predetermined diameter, and released from the pressure by the roll paper R and protruding from the first placement surface 27 when the diameter of the roll paper R is smaller than the predetermined diameter, and a detection section detecting projection and retraction of the first projecting/retracting portion 77.
