REEL EDITOR FOR PRE-PRINT PAPER, SHEET, AND BOX MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS
20190016551 · 2019-01-17 ·

Systems for providing efficient manufacturing of paper, sheet, and/or box products of varying size and structure, often with pre-applied print (pre-print), are provided herein. Efficient customer ordering/tracking, job aggregation, print imposition, corrugator planning, and tracking and adjustments throughout the manufacturing process are contemplated. A reel editor is configured to edit the roll based on waste and/or errors that occurred during various manufacturing processes (e.g., during printing). A control plan defining what is on each roll of printed web product may be updated after editing. Depending on the configuration, the reel editor may be integrated with various manufacturing components. The reel editor may be configured to determine if there is enough waste on the roll to even making editing worthwhile, such as based on desired quality of the images, customer requirements, different price points, among other possible factors.

Method and facility for supplying elastomeric products

A method for supplying green tire manufacturing machines (14) with elastomeric products (12) by means of a supply facility (10) comprising a loading member (30) and at least one transfer member (34) comprising an unwinder (36) is disclosed. The supply facility comprises a preparation station (32), said preparation station comprising a manipulator arm (70), and at least one motor (53), the preparation station and the unwinder being distinct from the green tire manufacturing machine. The method comprises the following successive operations: loading the reel onto the unwinder; positioning the end of the product wound on the r?el; arranging the end of the product in such a way that it is laid on a dispenser of the unwinder; and transferring the reel from the preparation station to the green tire manufacturing machine.

Method for predicting the presence of product defects during an intermediate processing step of a thin product wound in a roll

Method for predicting the presence of product defects during an intermediate processing step of a thin product wound in a roll, which provides forreceiving a roll of thin product that has been assigned a unique identification code stored in a database system, this latter containing process and/or product parameters detected in the production steps of said thin product wound in said roll upstream of said intermediate processing step, associated with said unique identification code, accessing said database system, entering one or more of the process and/or product parameters associated with the unique identification code of said roll contained in said database system in a predictive model, which uses a correlation, created by means of machine learning logics, from historicized values related to the process and/or product parameters output from said intermediate processing step and historicized values related to process and/or product parameters of the same rolls detected in the production steps of said rolls upstream of said intermediate processing step, in order to predict product parameters output from said intermediate processing step, comparing said aforesaid product parameters with respective predefined limit values, generating predictive diagnosis information of thin product defects based on the result of said comparison.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SUPPLYING, STAGING AND FOR REPLACING ROLLS WITH FLAT MATERIAL AND/OR FILM MATERIAL WOUND THEREONTO

Disclosed is a method and an apparatus for supplying, staging, and/or handling, and/or for replacing rolls (12, 20) with flat material and/or film material wound thereonto and serving as packaging material (22) for packaging piece goods, bundles, or the like sets of articles. Depleted rolls (20) are removed from at least one installation position (EB1, EB2) of a packaging machine (14), and new rolls (12) are mounted into the particular installation position (EB1, EB2), with new rolls (12) being staged to the packaging machine (14) in a specified feeder device.

Each of the installation positions (EB1, EB2) of the packaging machine (14) includes at least one rotatable receiving mandrel (70) for the rotatable reception and holding of the rolls (12). The at least one receiving mandrel (70) is shiftable in its axial direction upon removing a depleted roll (20) and/or upon mounting of a new roll (12).

METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT FOR HANDLING NARROW ROLLS

The invention relates to a product marking in connection with a narrow roll. The narrow rolls are provided with a product marking in a first information adding step, the product marking comprising at least general information. In a second information adding step, the product marking in at least some of the narrow rolls is provided with customer information. After the second information adding step all the narrow rolls have a product marking comprising the customer information.

DISPOSABLE PRODUCT ASSEMBLY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20170101281 · 2017-04-13 · ·

A machine for producing disposable products anticipates when a current run of a product size is coming to an end, and therefore begins loading of material rolls intended for the next product size or code that will be run. An integrated production facility layout automatically orders and stocks raw material based on production plans, and commands a production machine to produce specific products of differing configurations, and automatically loads appropriately sized raw materials into the process.
