BANKNOTE PROCESSING APPARATUS
A banknote processing apparatus capable of properly storing and dispensing a banknote is provided. The banknote processing apparatus includes: a transport unit that transports a banknote; a long-edge orientation storage unit that receives and stores, in a first orientation, the banknote transported by the transport unit, the first orientation being an orientation in which a short edge of the banknote is a leading edge thereof; a short-edge orientation storage unit that receives and stores, in a second orientation, the banknote transported by the transport unit, the second orientation being an orientation in which a long edge of the banknote is a leading edge thereof; and a control unit that selects, by controlling the transport unit, a storage destination for the banknote transported by the transport unit, from among any of the long-edge orientation storage unit and the short-edge orientation storage unit.
PAPER SHEET STORING/FEEDING DEVICE
A paper sheet storing/feeding device (e.g., escrow unit 40) includes a rotary member (e.g., drum 42) to an outer peripheral surface of which one end of a belt-shaped winding member (e.g., tapes 90, 92, 94) that winds a plurality of paper sheets one by one is connected, and a guiding unit (80, 85) that guides a paper sheet to prevent the paper sheet from sandwiching the winding member from both sides when the paper sheet is fed from the rotary member by unwinding the winding member from the rotary member.
WRAPPING AND DISPENSING APPARATUS
An apparatus may include a housing, a power-supply, a user-interface, a wrap-roller, a dispenser. In one embodiment, the apparatus is configured to roll an unwound hand-wrap after a workout. In another embodiment, a vending machine includes the housing, the power-supply, the user-interface, the wrap-roller, and the dispenser. In this embodiment, the housing includes a plurality of items that may aid in a users' workout and may selectively dispensed from the vending machine. The vending and use of the apparatus may be monetized for profit at sports-related establishments.
Medium processing device and medium transaction device
A medium processing device includes: a drum that has a circular cylinder shape and that rotates about a rotation shaft; a tape that, together with a medium, is wrapped onto a drum circumferential face, this being a circumferential face of the drum; a reel onto which the tape is pre-wound, and from which the tape is pulled out accompanying rotation of the drum; and a rotation restriction mechanism. The rotation restriction mechanism includes a restriction section that is obstructed from moving by the tape wrapped onto the drum circumferential face, and that moves when the drum rotates in an unwind direction to unwind the tape such that the tape comes away from the drum circumferential face to expose a wrapping location of the tape onto the drum circumferential face, and a stopper section that abuts the restriction section so as to restrict rotation of the drum in the unwind direction.

A banknote storage unit comprising: a first tape reel banknote storage device; a second tape reel banknote storage device; and a drive transmission means pivotable between engagement with said first tape reel banknote storage device and engagement with said second tape reel banknote storage device.
BANKNOTE STORING DEVICE AND BANKNOTE HANDLING MACHINE
A banknote storing device (for example, a storing and feeding unit (20)), includes a plurality of banknote storing mechanism (24, 26) arranged inside a casing (20a) side by side along a depth direction of the casing (20a). When viewed in a predetermined direction that is a direction orthogonal to the depth direction of the casing (20a) and also orthogonal to an axis direction of rotating members (for example, drums (24a, 26a)), at least one of the rotating members is arranged at a position at which the rotating member does not overlap with any of winding member accommodating units (for example, reels (25a, 25b, 27a, 27b)).

A paper sheet handling machine (for example, a banknote handling machine (10)) includes: a storage unit (for example, an escrow unit (20), banknote storages (30), a banknote storage cassette (40)) configured to store a paper sheet transported from a transport unit (16); and a shifting unit (19) provided in the transport unit (16) and configured to shift the paper sheet transported by the transport unit (16), in a width direction orthogonal to a direction in which the paper sheet is transported, according to a position, in the width direction, of a specific member (for example, a tape (136) in the escrow unit (20), a pair of feed rollers of a banknote feeding mechanism (32, 42) provided in the banknote storages (30), a banknote storage cassette (40)) in the storage unit.
BANKNOTE ROLLING-OUT CONTROL METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND BANKNOTE STORAGE DEVICE
A banknote rolling-out control method and apparatus and a banknote storage device are provided for solving the technical problem of device failure caused by the case where a banknote can easily be stuck in the device after being stored on a reel for a long time. The method includes: storing a rolling-in time at which a banknote enters a device and a corresponding banknote sequence number; obtaining a rolling-out time of a current banknote which needs to be rolled out; obtaining the rolling-in time corresponding to the banknote sequence number of the current banknote; and determining whether the rolling-in time and the rolling-out time satisfies a preset time condition, and rolling out the current banknote at a rolling-out speed lower than a preset speed in a case of a positive determination.

A paper sheet processing device, which counts a plurality of paper sheets set in a deposit portion into groups of a predetermined batch number and dispenses them to a dispensing portion, includes a temporary holding portion configured to hold the paper sheets set in the deposit portion and feed the held paper sheets, and a control portion configured to perform feed control of the paper sheets in the temporary holding portion and transport control of the paper sheets set in the deposit portion, in which the control portion performs control to feed the paper sheets held in the temporary holding portion divided into groups of the batch number and dispense the paper sheets to the dispensing portion.
