METHOD OF OPERATING AND CONTROLLING A GRILL
A method of operating and controlling a grill includes the steps of activating a master control to connect a heat control system of the grill with an external source of energy, and determining whether an element or burner control is an “on” position. If the determination confirms that an element or burner control is in an “on” position, a visual indication is provided to identify the particular element or burner control that is in the “on” position. If the determination confirms that an element or burner control is in an “on” position, activation of an associated heating element or burner is prohibited.
Cooking method and apparatus
An apparatus including a housing; a plurality of prongs connected to the housing so that the prongs are movable with respect to the housing; and a device for holding a food; and wherein the plurality of prongs are configured to be moved from a position outside of the food to a position where the plurality of prongs are inserted into the food; and wherein the plurality of prongs are configured to insert a substance into the food. The substance may be a seasoning. The apparatus may include a device for cleaning the plurality of prongs through a vacuum process and/or a blower process; wherein the device has an input configured to connect to one of the plurality of prongs. The apparatus may include a cook food platform; a sandwich platform; a hot beverage platform; and a cold beverage platform.

Disclosed herein is a cooking system for cooking food, the system including a housing defining a hollow chamber configured to receive a food container. The housing has an upper portion defining an opening to the hollow chamber. A lid is attachable about the upper portion of the housing and is configured to extend across the opening to the hollow chamber. At least one heating element is associated with at least one of said housing and said lid. The cooking system is operable in a plurality of modes including a pressure cooking mode and a convective cooking mode. In the pressure cooking mode, the cooking system is operable as a pressure cooker and in the convective cooking mode, the cooking system is operable as a convection cooker.
Connected food preparation system and method of use
A connected oven, including a set of in-cavity sensors and a processor configured to automatically identify foodstuff within the cooking cavity, based on the sensor measurements; and automatically operate the heating element based on the foodstuff identity.

Disclosed herein is a cooking system for cooking food, the system including a housing having a hollow interior, a lid movable relative to the housing, at least one heating element associated with one of the housing and the lid, wherein the cooking system is operable in a plurality of modes including a conductive cooking mode and a convective cooking mode, wherein in the conductive cooking mode the cooking system is operable as a conductive cooker and in the convective cooking mode the cooking system is operable as a convection cooker.
Connected food preparation system and method of use
A connected oven, including a set of in-cavity sensors and a processor configured to automatically identify foodstuff within the cooking cavity, based on the sensor measurements; and automatically operate the heating element based on the foodstuff identity.
Vacuum breaking without feed line clogging
When a food processing vessel under vacuum is repressurized, the tendency of product in the vessel to be forced into feed lines is relieved or overcome by establishing an effectively high pressure in the feed lines.
Accelerated Slow Roasting Apparatus
The Accelerated Slow Roasting Apparatus is a device for slow-and-low cooking a whole previously butterflied-prepared animal carcass comprising a closed cooking chamber with a plurality of adjustable air vents arranged on the bottom edge of said cooking chamber and a plurality of adjustable opening vents on a vertical side of the lid of said cooking chamber, and a slide out cooking grate with adjustable rails to support the grate while out of the cooking apparatus, a plurality of removable cooking fuel trays, wherein said cooking grate is positioned between twenty-five and forty centimeters above said cooking fuel trays to enable a flame-flare-up free, time-accelerated, slow-and-low cooking of said animal carcass in half, or less than half, of the traditional sixteen to twenty-two hours cooking time.
Process for the production of a nest-shaped food product comprising strips of a dried vegetable and associated product
A process for the production of a nest-shaped food product containing strips of a dried vegetable, preferably a garden vegetable, storable at room temperature for at least 7 days is disclosed. The process involves providing at least one fresh vegetable which has been previously washed, cutting the vegetable into strips, feeding the vegetable strips in metered amounts into a perforated mold, subjecting the strips to a stabilization heat treatment by means of saturated steam, drying the thermally stabilized strips by means of a flow of hot air so as to obtain a nest containing dried strips of vegetable with a moisture content of between 8% and 16% by weight of their total weight. The invention also concerns a nest-shaped food product which is obtained by means of the process and which may optionally contain strips of durum wheat semolina pasta.
Method for producing textured protein material
Problem to be Solved An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a textured protein material having a meat-like fibrous texture. Solution The textured protein material having a meat-like fibrous texture can be produced by feeding a flat-sheet-like textured protein material prepared via pressurization and heating, and then extrusion by an extruder through cutting blade rolls composed of a pair of rolls facing each other and having a plurality of square-blade-like annular blades arranged in parallel, thereby making slits sheared on the topside and the underside of the textured protein material in the same direction as the extruded direction.
