This sheet feeding device includes a paper transport path, a first paper pass detection unit, a second paper pass detection unit, a transport processing mechanism, an actuation determining section, and a detection control section. The first paper pass detection unit detects that the paper passes through a first point on the paper transport path. The second paper pass detection unit detects that the paper passes through a second point on the paper transport path. The transport processing mechanism performs predetermined transportation processing on the paper traveling on the paper transport path. The actuation determining section determines whether the transport processing mechanism has been actuated. The detection control section controls the first paper pass detection unit to constantly perform detection, and, if the actuation determining section detects that transport processing mechanism has been actuated, controls the second paper pass detection unit to perform detection except for a certain time period.

TRANSPORT APPARATUS

A lead-in path through which a sheet is led in; a first branch path and a second branch path which branch from the lead-in path; a first switchback path which extends from the first branch path; a second switchback path which extends from the second branch path; a first joining path and a second joining path through which the switched-back sheet is transported; and a lead-out path which extends from a joining point at which the first joining path and the second joining path join with each other, are provided. The lead-out path passes through between the first switchback path and the second switchback path. A first connection point at which the first switchback path and the first joining path are connected to each other is disposed above a second connection point at which the second switchback path and the second joining path are connected to each other.

Transport apparatus

A lead-in path through which a sheet is led in; a first branch path and a second branch path which branch from the lead-in path; a first switchback path which extends from the first branch path; a second switchback path which extends from the second branch path; a first joining path and a second joining path through which the switched-back sheet is transported; and a lead-out path which extends from a joining point at which the first joining path and the second joining path join with each other, are provided. The lead-out path passes through between the first switchback path and the second switchback path. A first connection point at which the first switchback path and the first joining path are connected to each other is disposed above a second connection point at which the second switchback path and the second joining path are connected to each other.

RECORDING MEDIUM PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM

A recording medium processing apparatus includes: a first conveyance unit that conveys a recording medium; a cutting member that is provided alongside the first conveyance unit in a width direction of the conveyed recording medium and cuts the recording medium along a conveying direction of the recording medium; a second conveyance unit that is located upstream of the first conveyance unit in the conveying direction and conveys the recording medium having reached a predetermined conveyance route; and a preventing or avoiding unit that, in the recording medium which is conveyed by the first conveyance unit and whose upstream end in the conveying direction has not passed the predetermined conveyance route, prevents or avoids a portion overlapped with the cutting member in the conveying direction from being pulled by the second conveyance unit.

A recording medium processing apparatus includes a pair of first conveyance units provided at an interval in a width direction of a recording medium to be conveyed, each of the first conveyance units pinching and conveying the recording medium; a cutting member that cuts the recording medium being conveyed by the first conveyance units along a conveyance direction of the recording medium; and a second conveyance unit provided between the pair of first conveyance units in the width direction and inside the cutting member, the second conveyance unit pinching the recording medium and conveying the recording medium, together with the pair of first conveyance units, at a conveyance speed of the recording medium lower than each of the pair of first conveyance units.

According to one embodiment, there is provided an image forming apparatus including a conveyance unit, a detection unit, an image forming unit, and a control unit. The conveyance unit is configured to convey a print medium to which a wireless tag is attached and on which wireless tag position information indicating a position of the wireless tag is formed. The detection unit is configured to detect the wireless tag position information formed on the print medium. The image forming unit is configured to form an image on the print medium. The control unit is configured to control the conveyance unit and the image forming unit based on the wireless tag position information detected by the detection unit.
