COMPOSITE PLANT PROTEIN AND PREPARATION METHODS THEREOF

A method for preparing a composite plant protein, including: S1: mixing at least two kinds of plant proteins with water, adding compound alkali powder to a mixed solution and stirring, so as to obtain a protein stock solution with a pH of 10-10.5; the two kinds of plant proteins being rice protein and pea protein, or the rice protein and soy protein; and the compound alkali powder is sodium hydroxide and calcium hydroxide; S2: obtaining a protein solution with a pH of 6.8-7.0 by performing a high-pressure jet mill-ultrasonic treatment on the protein stock solution obtained from step S1, and adding citric acid to a treated protein stock solution; and S3: obtaining the composite plant protein by spray-drying the protein solution obtained from step S2.

Cellulose nanocrystal-based emulsions and uses thereof

This invention relates generally to a method of treating a crop with an agricultural product, where the method includes the steps of incorporating a cellulose nanocrystal-based emulsion into an agrochemical to produce the agricultural product and applying said agricultural product to said crop. The cellulose nanocrystal-based emulsion includes a continuous aqueous phase and a dispersed oil phase, where the continuous aqueous phase includes between about 0.25% and about 3% (w/w) of sulfonated cellulose nanocrystals, between about 0.25% and about 1% (w/w) of co-stabilizing biopolymer, and up to about 3.0% (w/w) of cationic crosslinker. The dispersed oil phase includes a plant-based oil.

A beverage nucleator system for a supercooled beverage container may include a frame for receiving a beverage container and an ultrasonic transmitter positioned therein. A convex protrusion from the ultrasonic transmitter ensures good contact and therefore good transfer of ultrasonic energy through a top surface of a closure of the beverage container, even if the beverage container is positioned within the frame at an angle to the ultrasonic transmitter. Alternatively or additionally, a packaging holder comprising a plurality of supports may be provided to ensure that the top surface of the closure is parallel with the ultrasonic transmitter.

Chia seed derived products and the process thereof

The present application relates generally to a process of manufacturing a plurality of products from chia seeds. The process comprises socking chia seeds in a large volume of water for a period of time followed by sonication at an elevated temperature to remove the soluble fiber, the mucilage of chia seeds using vacuum filtration. The oil component is extracted from mucilage removed chia seeds and the leftover is hydrolyzed in presence of an enzyme to afford a product of protein hydrolysates and a product of insoluble fiber of chia seeds. Both the process and the products are within the scope of this application.

Sonic infusion of alcohol

A system to treat spirits with sound waves including a wooden barrel configured to hold the spirits, and at least one speaker disposed outside of the barrel, the speaker being configured to play a repeated pattern of sound into the spirits inside the barrel, the repeated pattern of sound being configured to encourage the spirits to interact with the wood of the barrel.
