SPLICER ASSEMBLY
The invention relates to a splicer assembly for splicing material webs. The splicer assembly comprises a first dispensing device for dispensing a finite first material web, a second dispensing device for dispensing a finite second material web, a connecting device for connecting the finite first material web and the finite second material web so as to form an endless material web, and a material web threading assistance assembly for assisted threading of the finite first material web or of the finite second material web into the splicer assembly in a threading procedure. The material web threading assistance device comprises at least one conveying installation for conveying the finite material web to be threaded in a threading direction in the threading procedure, and a conveying installation drive installation for driving the at least one conveying installation in the threading procedure.
Sheet connection device, sheet connection method, and sheet replacement system
The sheet connection device (1) includes: adhesive rollers (10, 10); a joining unit (20) and a cutting unit (30); and feed rollers (40, 40). The cutting unit (30) is capable of forming a connected end portion (SE2) by cutting the second bonding sheet (S2). The adhesive rollers (10, 10) separate the first bonding sheet (S1) into an adhesive sheet (SA) and a release sheet (SP) to form a separated portion (50) by feeding the first bonding sheet (S1) while holding a connecting end portion (SE1) of the first bonding sheet (S1). The feed rollers (40, 40) inserts the connected end portion (SE2) into the separated portion (50) by feeding the second bonding sheet (S2) toward the connecting end portion (SE1). The joining unit (20) connects the connecting end portion (SE1) and the connected end portion (SE2) to each other by adhesion or welding.
Method of splicing a multi-layered laminate material, spliced multi-layered laminate material and apparatus for splicing a multi-layered laminate material
The present invention relates to a method for splicing an upstream section and a downstream section of a multi-layered laminated sheet material wherein each section of the material comprises at least three layers each having first and second surfaces and wherein the at least three layers comprise first and second outer layers and at least one inner layer located between the first and second outer layers, comprising the steps of a) splicing together the upstream and downstream sections of both the first and second outer layers with a splicing material; b) removing the first outer layer from the multi-layered laminated sheet material to expose a surface of an inner layer; c) splicing the upstream and downstream sections of the exposed inner layer with a splicing material; and d) applying a replacement first outer layer to the exposed surface of the inner layer. A spliced multi-layered laminated sheet material produced according to the method is also provided. Also provided is an apparatus for splicing two sections of a multi-layered laminated sheet material wherein each section of the material comprises at least three layers each having first and second surfaces and wherein the at least three layers comprise two outer layers and at least one inner layer located between the two outer layers, the apparatus comprising: a first splicer configured to apply a splicing material to the two outer layers of the multi-layered laminated sheet material, a delaminator configured to remove a first outer layer, a second splicer located downstream of the delaminator configured to apply a splicing material to the exposed inner layer and an applicator located downstream of the second splicer configured to reapply an outer layer to the exposed inner layer.

A method is presented for making a multizone sticker for manufacturing an absorbent article. The method includes unwinding a sticker laminate. The method also includes separating the laminate into a first layer and a second layer, with the first layer including a surface with adhesive and the second layer including a non-stick backing layer. The method also includes treating the first layer with adhesive neutralizing agent to form a first zone with untreated adhesive and a second zone with treated adhesive. The method also includes recombining the first layer and the second layer, with at least a portion of the first zone configured to extend across a leading edge of a roll of material comprising a roll winding direction.
