Fiber product folding apparatus
A fiber product folding apparatus includes a first dashed-line cutting device used to form a plurality of first dashed lines on a first fiber product. Through control of the rotational speed of the first dashed-line roller, the interval between adjacent first dashed lines is adjusted. A first severing device receives the first fiber product with the first dashed lines by a predetermined length and cuts off the first fiber product. A second dashed-line cutting device is used to form a plurality of second dashed lines on a second fiber product. Through control of the rotational speed of the second dashed-line roller, the interval between adjacent second dashed lines can be adjusted. A second severing device receives the second fiber product that includes the second dashed lines by a predetermined length and cuts off the second fiber product. Finally, the first fiber product and the second fiber product are conducted to pass between a first folding roller and a second folding roller to proceed with folding. Since the dashed line interval of the fiber products is the size or length of a single sheet of fiber product, controlling the rotational speeds of the dashed-line rollers would allow for adjustment such that folding can be performed for multiple forms.

A post-processing apparatus that performs post-processing on paper in which an image is formed, the apparatus including: a paper cutter that cuts the paper in which the image is formed; a reader that reads the paper cut by the paper cutter; and a hardware processor that determines whether a cutting position of the paper cut by the paper cutter is good or not based on a read result read by the reader, wherein the hardware processor determines whether the cutting position of the paper in which partial cutting is performed is good or not, the partial cutting being cutting a portion of the paper by the paper cutter.

A separating unit for separating a web material includes a first shaft extending along a first longitudinal axis in the width direction and a second shaft extending along a second longitudinal axis, parallel to the first shaft. A first protrusion element extends perpendicularly from the first shaft and is rotatable about the first longitudinal axis and a second protrusion element extends perpendicularly from the second shaft and is rotatable about the second longitudinal axis. In a use position, the first protrusion element partially overlaps the second protrusion element with a radial overlap oriented perpendicular to the first and second shafts. A contact element is biased against at least one of the first and second protrusion elements in a direction perpendicular to the first or second longitudinal axis.

The control unit is configured to adjust a rotation speed of the second motor so that a surface speed of the first rotary member obtained based on a detection result of the first detection unit substantially matches a tangential component of a rotation speed of the punch unit at the punching position.

A post-processing apparatus includes a transport path having a first path member and a second path member, a punching member disposed on the transport path to perform punching on the medium. The transport path includes a first transport path disposed downstream of the punching member in a transport direction and a second transport path continuously extending downstream of the first transport path in the transport path, the second transport path having a curved shape to hold the medium in a curved state, the first path member in the second transport path forms an outer side of the curved shape and is disposed at a position further separated from the first surface than the first path member in the first transport path, and an upstream end in the transport direction of the medium in the curved state is moved from the first transport path to the second transport path.

A cutting device is configured to cut, in an arc shape, an end of a sheet conveyed in a conveyance direction. The cutting device includes an arc-shaped cutting blade; a switching mechanism; and a contact-and-separation mechanism. The switching mechanism is configured to switch a posture of the cutting blade in accordance with a position of the sheet facing the cutting blade. The contact-and-separation mechanism is configured to bring the cutting blade into contact with the sheet in a contact direction orthogonal to a surface of the sheet and away from the sheet in a separation direction opposite the contact direction, to cut the end of the sheet in the arc shape.

A sheet processing apparatus includes a conveyance unit, a punch member configured to be rotatably supported and punch a hole at a predetermined position, a sensor, a driving source configured to rotatably drive the punch member, and a control unit configured to control the driving source. The control unit is configured to (1) control the driving source based on a punching gap distance between a last punching position of a preceding sheet and a first punching position of a succeeding sheet in the sheet conveyance direction, and a rotational position of the punch member, and (2) perform an avoidance process of avoiding a punching process of punching the hole in the succeeding sheet in a case where the control unit judges not to perform the punching process in the succeeding sheet when the succeeding sheet has reached the detection position.
