A dispenser includes a container for receiving a roll of material through an opening, a blade for cutting the material, a trap, a lock, a transfer element and a lid. The lid is moveable between a covered position, in which the lid covers the opening, and an uncovered position in which the lid does not cover the opening, and the lid is configured to engage with the transfer element such that movement from the uncovered position to the covered position moves the transfer element from an open position to a closed position to unlock the trap, and to permit movement of the trap to expose the blade for cutting the material.

A tape dispenser having a handle, a base plate disposed at an end of the handle, a rotatable tape mount engaged on the base plate, a nose member disposed on the base plate, a cylinder rotatably engaged on the nose member near a cutter and a guide element is provided. The guide member is slidingly engaged on the base plate. The guide element is adjustable between a loading position which is slid rearwardly to provide space between a tape engaging end of the guide element and the nose member and a loaded position where the end of the guide element is located adjacent the nose member. A tape core support assembly can include a shaft secured to the frame and an axle assembly disposed about at least a portion of the shaft. The axle assembly includes a hub having an outer surface and at least three arcuate arms extending outwardly from the hub outer surface. An outer periphery of the arms forms a theoretical or actual cylinder configured to receive the tape core. The rotatable tape core support can include a stationary axle, a spring inclusive bushing mounted to said axle, and a rotatable tape mount. The rotatable tape mount can include a housing that receives the bushing such that the spring engages a surface of the housing to control rotation of the tape mount.

A seam tape tool configured to dispense a tape onto a top surface of a floor or surface protection material. The seam tape tool includes a frame, an optional handle connected to the rear of the frame, a tape holder rotatably connected to the frame, an application wheel connected to the frame, an optional tape guide positioned adjacent to the application wheel to maintain the position of dispensed tape relative to the application wheel, a tape cutter arrangement movably mounted to the frame, an optional cutter guide to guide the movement of the tape cutter arrangement relative to the frame, an optional lock arrangement configured to lock the tape cutter arrangement in a retracted non-cut position, a cutter movement arrangement to move the tape cutter arrangement from the retracted non-cut position to the extended cut position, an optional cutter handle, and an optional base slide or base wheel arrangement.

Roll-dispensed stock containers are provided. The roll-dispensed stock containers can include a first slot extending along a support wall of the container and a second slot in as lid extending over the support wall. A slidable cutter is movable along the first and second slots in the support wall and the lid. The slidable cutter includes a top portion, a base portion, and a blade portion disposed therebetween, the top portion of the slidable cutter positioned above the lid, the base portion positioned below the support wall, and the blade portion extending through the first and second slots, such that the lid is positioned against the support wall and the roll-dispensed stock is positioned therebetween during cutting.

A combination right and left-handed masking tool for painters, drywallers and other construction workers is disclosed. The invention provides housing masking tape dispensers located on both the left and right sides of a masking tool both connected to a flat support member. The combination right and left-handed masking tool operates in the same fashion as existing right-handed masking tool using a tape dispenser on the right side but includes the added feature of supporting a left-handed tape dispenser. An adjustable handle is attached to the flat support member connected between the right and left-handed tape dispensers and may be repositioned towards the either end of the flat support member or at its center for better balance and ergonomics during use.

A multi-function paper cutting device that integrates tape cutting and paper cutting functions into a single unit. The device primarily includes a shell having a wall extending along its length direction, with two ends of the wall being a first end and a second end, respectively. Integrated on the shell are a tape cutting assembly and a paper cutting structure. The paper cutting structure includes a slit and a paper cutting blade. A paper pressing structure applies continuous downward pressure on the fed-in paper. The tape cutting assembly is arranged with a tape sleeve shaft for mounting a tape roll, and a blade fixing member on which a serrated blade is arranged for cutting the tape.
