Printing apparatus
A transport roller, adapted to be used in a transport apparatus that transports a medium, includes a shaft, and a wheel group. The wheel group includes a plurality of toothed wheels arrayed in a direction in which the shaft extends, the plurality of toothed wheels being held by a holder which is held by the shaft. A plurality of teeth portions are provided on a peripheral surface of the wheel group, the plurality of teeth portions being disposed to be shifted in position from each other in a circumferential direction of the wheel group when the wheel group is viewed from the direction in which the shaft extends.
Discharging apparatus
A printer includes a guide frame, a deforming section, and a lever member. The guide frame includes a transport path. The deforming section includes a toothed roller, a supporting holder, and a torsion spring and deforms paper. The toothed roller comes into contact with the paper discharged from the transport path. The supporting holder is configured to pivot between a first position at which the toothed roller is located on the transport path and a second position at which the toothed roller is not located on the transport path. The torsion spring presses the supporting holder from the second position to the first position. The lever member is configured to switch between a regulating state in which pivoting of the supporting holder at the first position or the second position is regulated and a non-regulating state in which pivoting of the supporting holder is not regulated.
Sheet Conveying Apparatus
A sheet conveying apparatus includes: a conveying roller configured to convey a sheet in a conveying direction; driven rollers arranged with intervals in a width direction intersecting with the conveying direction, the driven rollers being opposed to the conveying roller in a direction perpendicular to the conveying direction and the width direction; and coil springs provided corresponding to the driven rollers respectively and serving as rotating shafts for rotatably supporting the driven rollers, wherein the coil springs include a right-handed twining coil spring and a left-handed twining coil spring.
ROTARY FEEDING MEMBER, SHEET FEEDING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A rotary feeding member for feeding a sheet is provided with a plurality of protruding portions, a plurality of first recessed portions and a plurality of second recessed portions on a cross-section perpendicular to a width direction of the rotary feeding member. The plurality of protruding portions constituting an outer circumferential surface of the rotary feeding member to be in contact with the sheet. Each of the plurality of first recessed portions and the plurality of second recessed portions is provided between any adjacent two of the plurality of protruding portions in the rotating direction. The plurality of first recessed portions are recessed to a first depth with respect to the outer circumferential surface, and the plurality of second recessed portions are recessed to a second depth smaller than the first depth with respect to the outer circumferential surface.
Image recording apparatus
An image recording apparatus for recording an image on a sheet includes a recording section which records the image on the sheet in a transport passage for transporting the sheet in a transport direction and multiple plates which are spaced apart from each other in a widthwise direction. These multiple plates include a first type of plate and a second type of plate. Plates of a first type of plate are configured to overlap a sheet when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the transport direction and the widthwise direction, while plates of the second type of plate do not.
Ink-jet recording apparatus
An ink-jet recording apparatus includes: an image recorder; a first supporter including support ribs extending to positions under the image recorder; an ink receiver disposed downstream of the support ribs; first and second roller pairs disposed downstream of the first supporter; a guide; and a protrusion disposed between the ink receiver and the first roller pair and having an upper end located below upper ends of the support ribs and above a first imaginary line connecting between a nip position of the first roller pair and a downstream end of the ink receiver. A distance between an upstream end of the ink receiver and a nip position of the second roller pair is less than a length of a first-size sheet and greater than a length of a second-size sheet. The protrusion is disposed, in a widthwise direction, in a region through which the second-size sheet is conveyed.
Segment Roller
A segment roller (1) has a roller body (2), which is mounted rotatably about an axis (3). To this end, the roller body (2) has on the outside grooves (9), in which tongues (8) of profiles (7) engage. These profiles (7) grip the material web (5) directly or indirectly. In order to increase the working life and improve the mechanical properties of the profiles (7), the profiles (7) are of shear-resistant configuration and have elastic lips (20). These elastic lips (20) are deformed upon the engagement of the tongue (8) in the groove (9).
Liquid ejection apparatus
A liquid ejection apparatus, including: a conveyor; and an ejector to eject a liquid; wherein each of an upstream roller pair, a first downstream roller pair, and a second downstream roller pair of the conveyor includes upper and lower rollers to respectively contact front and back surfaces of a recording medium, at least one of the upper and lower rollers being configured to give a conveyance force to the recording medium, wherein a rotation speed of the second downstream roller pair is higher than that of the first downstream roller pair, and the conveyance force of the first downstream roller pair is larger than that of the second downstream roller pair, and wherein the conveyance force of the second downstream roller pair is largest at a position thereof in the first direction which is nearest to the central position of the second downstream roller pair.
SHEET FEEDER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCORPORATING THE SAME
A sheet feeder includes a stacker to stack sheets and a separation and conveyance device to separate one sheet from the sheets fed from the stacker and convey the sheets one by one. The separation and conveyance device includes a feed roller that rotates in a direction to feed the sheet and a separation roller to press against the feed roller via the sheet. The separation roller has an apparent hardness different from an apparent hardness of the feed roller and is configured to form an indentation in the feed roller.
