PAPER SHEET HANDLING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETECTING FOREIGN OBJECT

A paper sheet handling apparatus includes an insertion slot to which a banknote is inserted, a conveyor mechanism that conveys the paper sheet inserted through an insertion slot, and a corrective member that has an elastic deformation portion designed to contact the paper sheet inserted to the insertion slot and corrects a direction of conveyance of the paper sheet inserted through the insertion slot using the elasticity of the elastic deformation portion. The corrective member is disposed at least on both ends in the width direction of the insertion slot, along a face of the banknote inserted to the insertion slot, or at positions, on a conveyor line for the paper sheet inserted through the insertion slot, facing the ends in the width direction of the insertion slot.

The invention relates to a method for producing collections (15) from a plurality of N (N=2, 3, 4, . . . ) different printed products (11a-d), which collections (15) each comprise a stack (13) of printed products (11a-c), which stack is packed in a packaging element (11d) wrapped around the stack (13). A solution that does not require additional material use includes the following steps: providing the N printed products (11a-d): forming an intermediate stack (13) from Nx (x=1, 2, 3, . . . ) of the N printed products (10a-d); providing the x remaining printed products as a packaging element (11d); and wrapping the intermediate stack (13) in the packaging element (11d).

Deflection roller, use of said deflection roller and tire building machines comprising said deflection roller

A deflection roller for guiding and/or deflecting a rubber tire component, has a shaft that defines an axis of rotation of the deflection roller and a plurality of bristles distributed circumferentially around the shaft and extending radially outwards and orthogonally with respect to the axis of rotation to form a circumferential brush surface that is concentric to the axis of rotation. The deflection roller further has a first boundary element and a second boundary element extending adjacent to the plurality of bristles in an axial direction parallel to the axis of rotation and protruding radially outside the circumferential brush surface at a first end and a second end of the circumferential brush surface, respectively, for binding the circumferential brush surface in the axial direction.

Aspects involve systems and methods for producing an electrode laminate for a battery that includes a tension device to maintain tension on an electrode stack as the stack is cut into a shape. The tension device may include a first roller and a second. The upper roller may rotate in a counterclockwise direction as the lower roller rotates in a clockwise direction to pull or otherwise draw a skeleton of a cut stack through the tension device. A collection of spaced flexible and resilient flaps may be connected to the upper roller and may rotate with the upper roller. A contacting edge of each of the flaps may contact the skeleton of the stack and gently pull the skeleton through the tension device providing a relatively continuous pull on the stack as it proceeds through a cutting station.
