Undulating Plastic Film Supporting and Aligning Apparatus
20170081059 · 2017-03-23 · ·

Apparatus for vertically supporting and maintaining a web of plastic film horizontally aligned in applications such as machines that form the plastic film into bags and fill them. Separate coplanar consecutively spaced plates are aligned with and extend through a web normal traversing plane. One of the plates has a peak edge extending out of the web normal traversing plane in a first direction, whereas another has a peak edge extending out of the web normal traversing plane in a second opposite direction. The peak edges define an undulating plastic film travel path between a web upstream location and a web downstream location. The web of film is tensioned between the upstream location and the downstream location and travels along the continuous undulating path. The film flexibly bends over the peak edges as a result of the tension and is thereby supported and maintained aligned.

Medium protection device and medium separating and stacking device

The present invention provides a medium protection device and a medium separating and stacking device capable of avoiding damage to a medium when moving the medium along a guide. In a banknote cassette, a guide body is attached to a circumferential side face of a central body of a tongue piece roller in a range not provided with tongue pieces. When feeding out banknotes, the banknote cassette stops the tongue piece roller in a retracted state, thereby positioning an outer circumferential face of the guide body in the vicinity of the surface of a front upper curved portion of a hole in the conveyance guide, such that the hole can be placed in an almost completely blocked state. The present invention can accordingly prevent the vicinity of a corner of a banknote from entering the hole, enabling creasing during conveyance to be forestalled.

Transport using peaked web guide and roller

A print media moving apparatus includes a web guide positioned immediately upstream relative to a roller. The web guide has an arcuate surface including three sections with the second section located between the first and third sections. The arcuate surface includes a peak in the second section. The roller, having a diameter and rotational axis, includes three sections with the second section located between the first and third section as viewed along the rotational axis. The diameter of the roller in the first and third sections is greater than in the second section. The three sections of the web guide correspond to the three sections of the roller such that the contour of the arcuate surface causes the print media, after leaving the web guide, to contact the first and third sections of the roller prior to contacting the second section of the roller.

MEDIUM CONVEYANCE DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

A medium conveyance device includes multiple pairs of conveyance rollers configured to convey a medium of which a leading end position has been subjected to registration, the multiple pairs of conveyance rollers being spaced away from each other in a medium widthwise direction intersecting with a medium conveying direction to convey the medium with the medium held between each pair of conveyance rollers, in which the multiple pairs of conveyance rollers are set such that a speed at conveyance of a widthwise center of the medium is higher than a speed at conveyance of a widthwise end of the medium.

A lamination tape feeding system for an electrode plate substrate is provided. The lamination tape feeding system includes an input roll for inputting a lamination tape to be attached to an uncoated region of the electrode plate substrate to which an active material is applied, a plurality of guide rolls for guiding the supply of the lamination tape input, a discharge roll for discharging the guided lamination tape. The system also includes at least one crown roll that is disposed in a path of the lamination tape between the input roll and the discharge roll, disposed in the path between the guide rolls, and has a maximum height at the center of a width direction that intersects the moving direction of the lamination tape, with the height decreasing toward ends the at least one crown roll.
